Re: SNOW!
I was raised in Michigan right on the coast of Lake Michigan, a gigantic lake in the Norhtern Mid-West United States. The river that ran through my town deltas into Lake Michigan, where two piers emit light to guide incoming ships. Here is a picture of one of the piers when a snow or ice storm hits and it remains under freezing temperatures for a long time.

Upper Peninsula or Lower?
I'm going to Michigan Tech in Houghton next year. Their Winter festival is awesome from what I hear.

riverhippo wrote:Now you know how the average junior high schooler in America feels about their school principal.
Really? I don't feel that way about my principal. He is AWESOME!!! He let us set up a section in our cafeteria specifically for playing video games during lunch. He also plays music on the microphone in the morning (and I mean GOOD music like ACDC), infact today he played the Safety Dance XD. We also get to pie him in the face at the end of each school year...
Actually, the only thing I don't like about him is that he has this wierd lazy eye that seems to follow you everywhere. But during spirit week, he wore an eyepatch over it and dressed up as a pirate throughout the entire week =P.
I had two Christian principals through my High School years. They were
very nice people who went out of their way to help us students. And during
my Senior year, the principal helped me figure out what I want to do for
college. So not all principals are bad.

That was uncalled for. And BTW, it seems like a lot of people in Texas moved there from Michigan, including both of my parents for a few years.

Well a couple weeks ago back in mid-November, it was like -22C for a high, with -36C windchills. That was terrible for November. And last year, yes, it hit around -48C in December for about one or two days. I think that was the record coldest temp. for the city. Consider yourself lucky that you got "nothing"!

Yeah, Michigan and Texas have pipeline, I don't really understand why though.

Actually, Hell is West of Detroit and Southeast of Lansing. That picture was taken 100 or 200 miles away, probably more.

Re: SNOW!
When I was in School and it snowed, we ussualy had to go.
Our Principal was a complete a***** and rubbed in the fact that nearly every other school in the district got a day off but we didn't, there were some exceptions, but that was when it was snowing so bad, that it was outright dangerous to head out of the house.

Re: SNOW!
Well, San Antonio, Texas is still getting temperatures of 40-60 degrees
Fahrenheit weather. We're not even getting ice. In fact, it just feels like a
cool breeze every day. But they are great days to drive with your windows
cracked open [or rolled all the way down].
