SNOW!
Has anyone here, if you're from the UK, got submerged in snow? I have, though it's not nearly as bad as some places. I'm off school today so I has a happy...
Seriously, my cats have to bound through it.

Re: SNOW!
Oh! Awesome! Clock-la told she had snow too. Being from Texas, I don't get much of that stuff. However, I was raised all my childhood life in Michigan. Two words: Lake-effect Snow.

Now you know how the average junior high schooler in America feels about their school principal.

He is right. I'm here in Texas, and all we get is cold air. Not even any ice.

However, everyone has their own weird thoughts about climates on the other parts of the country. Texas has an average temperature about 10 more degree Fairleigh then Michigan. On occasion, it's colder in Texas than it is up north. But it still seldom snows, because west Texas is a wasteland that doesn't produce blizzard type weather. Last March, though, Dallas got hit with about a foot of snow in one day--a freak occurrence.

Re: SNOW!
I'm from the UK.
Usually I love snow, but our school is the only school in Essex that didn't give us the day off. Even if I have school tomorrow, I'm not going in. Not when I have to walk all the way without a coat and with annoying kids throwing snowballs at me.

Re: SNOW!
I know, it's better than the icicles we got earlier this year.
Seriously, they were about two feet long - we were worried they were going to fall and stab one of the cats!

Re: SNOW!
The other day me and my friends went shopping, and outside the shops, there is this massive water fountain. There were icicles hanging off the statue and it hadn't even started snowing that day. All the water was frozen over, and me and my friend got in it and broke all the ice. It's amazing how fast it gets cold around here.

Really? I don't feel that way about my principal. He is AWESOME!!! He let us set up a section in our cafeteria specifically for playing video games during lunch. He also plays music on the microphone in the morning (and I mean GOOD music like ACDC), infact today he played the Safety Dance XD. We also get to pie him in the face at the end of each school year...
Actually, the only thing I don't like about him is that he has this wierd lazy eye that seems to follow you everywhere. But during spirit week, he wore an eyepatch over it and dressed up as a pirate throughout the entire week =P.

My principal and vice principals all had a bug up their butt. However, I didn't mind them, I was referring to the average latchkey kid that didn't have enough regard for their own self-control. Again, maybe my school was just a problem school, however, I like to think that most schools have the same share of problems.

Re: SNOW!
God, we've got enough of it - half a foot, about!
I hate my head teacher. She is so irritating - her voice alone is enough to make you want to crawl in a cupboard and die. She's such a hypocrite as well - she tells all the girls off for wearing too much make up (I do think it looks stupid) but she wears half of Boots make-up counter on her face, she'll have a fit if you wear shoes with the tiniest heels, yet she wears practically 10-inch stilletoes.
It's not just how she looks and sounds either. She's a total moron and is changing everything around our school. The initial school (though loads of buildings have been added) has been hear for centuries, and we're getting it knocked down! We're getting a weirdo and techno modern school that totally doesn't fit in with our town. She's changing our fricking uniform as well - a bloody black suit.
Someone give me a punchbag.

As someone who has experienced higher education, let me tell you it becomes harder not because you have to write more, but because you have to write less. Expanding a complete answer is easy. Compacting it is not.

Not for me. I could rewrite "The Scarlet Letter" in 20 pages or less.
