I don't know...
I remember when they made a big deal out of the crap called, "Brother Bear 2," saying it would be the last 2D animation movie Disney would make. But they can't say things like that too truthful, even if it sounds like it makes sense or right...

Re: Disney will move away from fairy tales
Finally.
I'm personally a big Disney fan, and I really would like it if they try to focus some movies on teens/ young adults *cough* Pirates of the Caribbean *cough*.
And Cars 2. Ashamed as I really liked that movie. o_o

Pirates of the Caribbean for tweens? The target audience for Pirates was definitely older, more for the people who experienced Disney World when Pirates of the Caribbean was a huge ride.

Re: Disney will move away from fairy tales
And when you look at it that way, it shows Disney being a corporation with little originality in their creations. However, has anyone ever read the story of Snow White versus the actual Disney story of Snow White? Polar opposites, maybe even a disgrace to some of the stories which have totally different connotations now that Disney has portrayed them. Even if these stories are public domain, its kinda of a crime against literature's first intent.

I think it's wrong that Disney decided to take a huge dump on mother goose and show the story their way. It's a literary crime.

Re: Disney will move away from fairy tales
Mirimax, a subsidairy of Disney planned on a two movie set based on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. But Tolkien had made a statement that he didn't want Disney involved in any movie projects (and for good reason), Mirimax backed out of the deal. New Line Cinema stepped in and with Peter Jackson at the helm, created the three movies we have now.
IMAGINE the tragedy if Disney got their filthy paws on Tolkien's golden books and ruined it forever. He would roll over in his grave.

Re: Disney will move away from fairy tales
Believe it or not, the so-called ''actors'' of modern shows are total jerks.
"[shadow=yellow:2a6f833cfe][glow=orange:2a6f833cfe]Hannah Montana[/glow:2a6f833cfe] [/shadow:2a6f833cfe]killed the original [shadow=darkblue:2a6f833cfe][glow=blue:2a6f833cfe]Magic[/glow:2a6f833cfe][/shadow:2a6f833cfe] of Disney" (c)
Hell happened when Walt died, yep indeed. Kids nowadays watch those stupid new Disney shows and they copy it, later, Americans are surprised why their kids are like that.
Now off topic, to modern singers.
For example, this is what Miley Cyrus said:
[glow=green:2a6f833cfe]"It meant something to me. Because it's from the kids, and the kids are more important than anything else in the world. So it made me happy. Honestly, I didn't think I was going to win it. It just made my day that I did. It means a lot to me."[/glow:2a6f833cfe]
Seriously, Cyrus, if she thinks that ''KIDS'' are so important to the future, why make the future worse, by showing her butt at the stage?
This is the intelligence of American celebrities.
