Writing a Novel

I have only got my first 6,500 words done (12 pages) but I sort of like where it is going. I've been writing since I was in 6th grade (not on this lol, I started it about 2 months ago.. I'm busy half of the time).

Anyhow, I can't post it here for various reasons, but if anybody would like to help me edit it I thank you, and if you'd just like to read it I can e-mail it to you or something.

Title: TBD
Book 1 of the "Bender" Cycle (Planned to be 4 books, but also could stand on it's own if I decide I'm not going to continue)
Audiance: Teen-Adult
Genre: Fantacy
Setting: A made-up school in Ohio (Rosemarry Secondary), 2009-2010
Rough Final Length: 150,000 - 200,000 words
Rough Completion Date: Between 1-1-2012 and 9-29-12

I wrote a terrable novel that was 156,729 words before when I was in 7th grade, but it was not even half way completed, and it was not very well written anyways. I'm a much better writer now. I need some people to help me edit it and push me to write quicker lol

If I have people telling me to hurry up and write it, I'll be more likely to actually write on it on a given night  Also, if anybody could think of a possable title once I get more written, that would be nice.

Re: Writing a Novel

Judging off of the misspelled words in your message above, your story
might have a lot of misspelled words in it. So yes, it's always nice to
have someone else look it over and fix the errors they find.

Yeah... lol smile I'm a terrable speller. I didn't use spell check there though, so it's probably not quite as bad.

Meh, I approve of Family Guy and I forever will approve!!!

Stewie and Brian are my favorite characters aside from seeing Meg get ridiculed and humiliated.... ^_^

Re: Writing a Novel

Aha. I got 32k words and I am done. Then again, it wasn't supposed to be a large book, rather a series of short ones to cover ground.

What is yours about? Or you just gonna keep that a secret and wait until 2012?

Really Latias fan??  Out of all of Family Guy's obscenities and crude humor, that was what turned you away?

I think it's gonna be about a school where the students learn magic. I know what you're thinking: Harry Potter, but no, actually it's gonna be quite different. Magic system will be different from anything that I've ever read about, and the plot will not be even close to the same.

Congrats man, I have 10,400 words (18 pages) now and I'm only in Chapter two. I'm planning on at least 150,000 words just because it's all going lineraly, and there's not much that I can skip.

Heck, my main character isn't even at the school yet. smile

Actually he's a "Lycan."  I know this because I have angered many fans by thinking he's a werewolf, and they all confirm their nerdyness by telling me.
Sirius in Harry Potter turns into a wolf, too, but he doesn't bring shame on the "Black" family name.

Re: Writing a Novel

I can tell you read the books, Jazz, when it says he turns into A GIANT BLACK DOG. Excellent research good sir. Or was it a joke? Oh well.

Anyway, main antagonist of my book is a vampire, but he is a ledgit scary mutherf*cker.

He looked like a small all-black wolf in Prisoner of Azkaban. Maybe a little larger than my yellow lab that was bred small for service purposes.
