The Anchorman stared out from his lighthouse up top,
The thunderous applauding of the sea never stops.
He raised his hand in a wave for a wave of the sea,
As the lighthouse flashed on and flashed off in his glee.

He heaped up his roped anchor and swung it around,
Never has a person heard such a cheering sound.
He smiled and bowed low to the floor,
He skipped over his his anchor and the sea gave a roar.

He was a performer, the star of the show,
He was the Anchorman, and then so,
With the sea as his audiance and the lighthouse as his friend,
He performed a great show absent of an end.

He was a man of great brilliance, a man of great wonder,
So greatly appreciated by only sea and the thunder.
People couldn't understand when they watched from afar,
They couldn't see he was the Anchorman, they couldn't see he was the star.

Poem by me, but I don't understand it. It's very Beatles-like.
