Re: Dragons. Are they real?
Regarding conspiracies and mysteries, do you think the rarity of an article about aliens and stuff makes the article more believable or less believable.
What I mean is:
Should a hard-to-find article make it more credible because it's purposely being hidden, or less credible because it's ignored by major news sources?

Well it must not be 'purposely' hidden if someone posted it on the internet, which therefore would give it very low credibility. If someone makes an article about it, then people will find it and, if it is credible, repost it (sometimes even if it isn't) which will therefore make it not 'hard-to-find'.

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
It only takes a 15 minutes conversation with a traveling missionary, a foreign exchange student, or a armed forces troop serving overseas to understand that the world is way different than the NBC nightly news makes it look and sound. No offense Brian Williams...

I learned long ago that news crews lie about a lot more than we think they lie about.

...man this thread brings me back to my darkest memory here in the forums, hope it won't happen again and let's keep it civil.
I haven't read arguments in this thread enough to actually make a constructive argument myself.

Way to quote me, River.
and there is more hints that they don't exist than others. Where are they? Why haven't we found any bones? Etc.

There are hundreds of thousands of pieces of proof ... more than or other
than finding bones. You simply are ignorant of what information there is
out there in the world. I spent about a year studying about the possibility
of dinosaurs [originally called dragons whether or not they fly or breathe
fire] existing. I wouldn't say "They exist" unless I know that they do.

You don't have to prove something to be invalid. You only need to prove something if you believe it IS valid.

I have yet to find a single piece of proof out of the "hundreds of thousands of pieces of proof" that can't be contradicted with real evidence.
Yea, that dinosaur argument may make a convincing argument, but when you think about it we might as well call something like the komodo dragon an actual dragon too. But we seem to dismiss that kind of comment because it isn't what we are implying when we say "dragon".
