Re: Dragons. Are they real?
A great Bible book to look through is the book of Job [Joe+b=Job]
There are dragons in Job?
I know there are dragons in Revelations (or maybe things that can be described as dragons. I highly doubt John knew what an Apache helicopter is, so he described it the best he could. Then again, maybe they are literal dragons.)
I can bet DOTD being inspired by Revelations (as well as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, of course)

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
[hr:ef2eaf4f04]
If you disagree with my beliefs that dragons exist[ed], you can keep your
opinions to yourself instead of trying to argue against me. Not like you're
going to change my beliefs anyways, so don't waste your time trying.
If we need to keep our opinions to ourself, then keep yours to yourself. This a thread arguing about the existence of dragons, and bringing religion into this is a waste of time and means you feel no one should contradict you're opinion.
It's like commenting on a painting saying that it was well made, but telling no one else to disagree with you because you're opinion won't change. It's obvious that anyone who disagrees won't change you're opinion, but that doesn't mean that other people can't express their opinion.
Don't silence people and tell them to keep their opinions to themselves. Their opinions matter too, and that's one of the reasons why the forum is half-dead.
Oh God, not Kent Hovind. I'm sorry, but I cannot take that guy seriously AT ALL.
The guy who said evolution means humans came from rocks?
Yea, that guy lost every single public debate he was ever part of. Even in one major one with mostly creationists as an audience...

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
I would argue the Bible as a historical book and not just a regious gateway. Babylonian history, for example, has been confirmed with the Bible as far as King lineage to special events in history and eveything in between.
Try not to view talking about the Bible as a religious agenda.

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
If dragons aren't [or weren't] real, why are there hundreds of thousands
or even millions of stories all leading to the existence of dragons? It's the
same for Noah's Ark. Every language has their own story of a giant boat
with a load of animals on it that survived a long world-wide flood.

The definition of dragon ranges so differently from each culture that has it. Europe and most Western-world countries took the idea of dragons from the ancient Greeks, who depicted them as blood-thirsty lizards with wings. Asia depicted them as long snake-like creatures that could control the elements and were purely good. The Native Americans took the idea of dragons from asia, and then conformed them to be god-like in wisdom.
Noah's ark is only found in the cultures that grew from Mesopotamia. Now I may be wrong on this, in which case give me other examples, but I highly doubt every language made has a story of the ark. In which case a similar event must have happened in that region...

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
i found they are real but the post won't let me show you my links, so visit me on facebook and i can show you that they are real!! or you could be like everyone else and forget it or google search it, in fact make sure you search "real dragon fossils in china" or just search real dragons if you rather go through ten thousand pages. trust me, its a lot them saying they are real and i research them in private studies, but i don't understand it since its leaked into other sites, but i believe they're real! pm me if you still need proof, 'cause i got a lot but still need to find more (i want to figure out what dragon spyro is in real life without special powers?).
p.s. where can i get real nice picture of some dragons, iwant to have them saved t my drive but the left click key is broken.

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
Maybe all of the good dragons were raptured, and the evil dragons went to the earth's core. It would explain the lack of fossils and some of the background of Revelations.

Well I have to say I am pretty impressed with the Chinese dragon fossils. While they aren't the kind of dragons people fantasize about today or through myths and legends, I think that's still pretty cool.

Re: Dragons. Are they real?
After 17 votes, 10 say yes, 4 say no, 3 are undecided whether or not dragons truely existed at some time. I'm quite surprised, I didn't think it would side that way. If have changed your mind, I have allowed people to change their vote.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but those aren't real. Infact, there is no such place as the "Xinwei Ancient Life Fossils Museum". It was an hoax created by a (albeit very talented) artist using fiberglass and clay.
No offense, but it wasn't that difficult to find out that it was fake. You should always check more than one source.
