PSP go, TRUST me!!

My parents gave me a choice of PSP go or an iPod touch.  Worst decision of my life.  The iPod is so breakable, need screen protectors, covers, bad battery, horrible quality, not good games.

While PSP has good games, battery, not easily breakable, good battery, and nice!

Music on the go.

Games on the go doesn't mix well.

I have a 120GB iPod Video Classic and it hasn't let me down once!:D Sometimes I use my PSP for music, but I mostly use it for games...

Lolwut?

1. I attached my iPod to a rocket (used it as the rocket's computer) and it didn't make a scratch when it hit the ground. My friend also ran over his iPod by accident once, and it still worked.
2. Screen protectors are easy to find and they're cheap. They are pretty much invisible and you don't even notice them. You only need them for fingerprints.
3. The battery on the PSP Go lasts for about 3-6 hours while playing games. That is about the same as the 4-5 hours on the iPod. Not to mention that the iPod lasts a lot longer while playing music and video.
4. If you think that the iPod doesn't have good games, then I am doubting you have an iPod. NOVA, Archetype, FIFA, and Need for Speed are all great games that, when combined, cost about as much as one of the cheapest PSP games.

My suggestion is this: A new iPod Touch will be coming out soon. Wait about a month, and if it doesn't get released then go for the PSP. And if you don't have a DS, wait for the 3DS to come out.

Excuse me am I reading this right? Did you just say the PSP Go is a good thing? And that it's in anyway better then the IPod Touch? Geez, some of the ridiculous stuff I see on these forums.

Trust me on this, I am not biased in any way for I have had both for a couple of years. The IPod Touch isn't the best invention ever made, but it's better than the problematic waste of money that is the PSP. In fact, I have one, and I wasn't even aware that it had any games? Does it? This is big news to me!

My bad, I was using biased the wrong way. What I was trying to say is that my opinion is legitimate because I'm not just favoring the one I have. I've had both so I'm allowed to have an opinion. If that makes sense.

Re: PSP or iPod?

I voted PSP because the games (mostly spinoffs and rereleased PS1 games) are much better, and they play music and movies.  iPods do seem more rugged and they fit better in your pocket.

Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: PSP or iPod?

Of course iPod!. It is the best option from the both. Many people just want a simple and small mp3 player that easily plays their music. the PSP is a little too big to fit into that mainstream easily portable mp3 player market.

The iPod is the only thing I find worth buying from Apple. I'm a Microsoft
fan. And no, I'm not part of any bandwagon...

Re: PSP or iPod?

I hate it when people say they are 'aligned', or a 'fanboy' of a company.

It's these things that set the world of consumer technology back a good 10-20 years. People choose a company/OS/device and stick with it, without putting any logical decision into it.

Take the console wars for example... People tend to stick to the PS3 or Xbox, and always try to attack each other. Why? What does it accomplish? That you can justify your purchase to make you feel better about yourself? That's like someone in 3rd grade picking on someone to hide their insecurities.

There's also the phone wars for example. If you go onto a highly regarded tech site like Engadget or Gizmodo, you will see that there are hundreds of either Android fanboys who call themselves 'smarter' or the iPhone sheep who call themselves 'cooler'. To me, that makes me think that they are trying to hide their flaws with themselves, with the smart dorky geeks buying the iPhones to be 'cool' and the more popular jocky idiots buying Android phones to seem 'smart'.

I wish it was a law that companies can't put their logo on any external piece of hardware or any image inside the software. It's completely stupid and useless. The real good consumers are the ones who don't judge by images or videos of a device, or even reviews of other people. They go to the store and try it out themselves...

I have a Mac
I have a Linux
I have a PS3
I have a Wii
I have an iPod Touch
I have a Nexus One
I have a lamp
I have an air-conditioner
None of it matters.

Are you implying that I like Microsoft better because I want to be "cool?"

Re: PSP or iPod?

If you just want to listen to music you can buy mp3 players for like $20 and a good pair of headphones for $30...

Re: PSP or iPod?

What's nice is that all of Napster's music is in MP3 format. If you buy from
iTunes, the files are Protected AVI format, so you cannot change/move
them around as well as MP3 files. That, and Napster has a bit more music
[including much of the less popular independant bands] from what I've
seen when searching for music. I also get to use Audacity for the MP3s.

Re: PSP or iPod?

I don't believe that iTunes music is DRMed anymore, I think its DRM-free now, but they do have some format that they use that isn't compatible with a lot of other players... AAC or something, I don't know, I don't really like iTunes, the interface looks like an excel spreadsheet.

The newest Windows Movie Player looks nice and easy to use.

[Edit] I got off topic, heh. Sorry.
