First off, don't assume that we assume that you are assuming anything. Not only is that hard to keep track of, but it's untrue.

Swaffy wrote:

That is not true.
This reaction is probably due to me pointing out two bands I like the most
and the fact that I mostly posted up Christian music. If you want me to put
up less Christian music, that's your own personal problem. This thread is
for music the member finds beautiful, and the Christian music I posted up
is music I find more beautiful than most secular music I listen to.

We don't care that you post Christian music. The tensity of this thread was due to you saying that "rock music isn't beautiful". Infact, we didn't even say a single thing about Christian music before you brought it into the conversation with this quote:

Swaffy wrote:
G-Man_93 wrote:

Glad you like the song that I suggested here! big_smile

Because of my tendency to be "closed minded" towards many things in
this world, including music, I don't usually find music I like. I guess I'm
just being cautious about what I'm feeeding myself.  My sister just accepts
any music the world throws at her [like that Lady Gaga junk] and she
practically opens her heart up to that sort of music. And as Christians, it's
not a good thing to allow music like that into our lives. As for me, when it
comes to secular music, I like positive songs and some songs that are
neutral. I like Thrice [secular band], because their singer/songwriter is
Christian, and also includes some Scripture in the songs he writes [such as
Come All You Weary and Image of the Invisible]. I like Creed because a
lot of their music is positive [take My Sacrifice and Lullaby as an example].

It was actually very abrupt the way you brought Christianity into the conversation.

I liked Owl City a lot more before he sold himself out. I don't buy any of the newer songs, but his previous songs are interesting.

I've only heard stuff from Ocean Eyes. I really like that CD, though.

Re: Beautiful songs

Sorry to say, but I have not heard of the past 3 or 4 bands mentioned.
Well, I've heard of Tool and heard they have great music. I have not
really gotten around to listening to them, though.

[hr:6b6f88567a]
I was looking up some Radiohead songs I haven't yet heard, and came
accross this song. I consider it as being a beautiful song, but the lyrics
hold it back from being a truly beautiful song in my perspective. In short, I
really like the sound, but the meaning is acceptable.

Radiohead - Bullet Proof ... I Wish I Was

Re: Beautiful songs

@Neotyguy40: TPS don't sound too bad, if I listen to more I might like them.

@Swaffy: Get the albums Ænima and Lateralus. Those Tool's greatest albums imo

Remember the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron? This is the
last song on the soundtrack. I remember this movie when I was a runt,
and I still love this movie. Same as Balto.

Re: Beautiful songs

Yeah ... I figured it could be considered beautiful. I love blues guitar
[especially smooth blues guitar solos], and it has a nice message.

One more Spirit song. I love this movie.
