Invader Zim

Just thought I'd make a thread for Invader Zim fans, since I have been on a bit of a IZ craze lately.

When I saw this show a long time ago when I was little (I was probably about 13) I actually didn't like it at all. It sorta creeped me out. now im nearing the age of 19, I watch all the episodes and now I just adore it.

Today they actually just started airing episodes again on Nicktoons. Although I didn't think they were going to air until July 5th. Which makes me wonder... Because I constantly hear possibilities of there being new episodes, yet I cannot find any hard facts. *shrug*

I heard some people say that when it aired for a full month it March, it was too see if it would get enough veiws to later (later being now) permanetly air. Which this obviously turned out to be true. but then I also heard if they had a certain amount of veiws they would air new episodes. but that I have no idea of being ture yet. =/ oh well..

I know that many book stores sell television series. Don't book stores
such as Barnes and Noble sell Invader Zim? I was with a friend today at
Barnes and Noble, and we were looking at their selection of television
shows, my favorite being the Mythbusters seasons. I didn't think of
Invader Zim at the time, but I'm sure you can just buy it there ...

I LOVE Invader Zim! My boyfriend got me into it and now I have the box set which contains all the episodes. Even ones that didn't get aired.

I think I may have found some official information on Invader Zim coming back with new episodes... but I'm not sure if I'm pleased...

"Three years ago, Nickelodeon cancelled the popular cult series, Invader ZIM, leaving fans angry and bitter towards the #1 kids network. But after the phenomenal sales of the first two ZIM DVDs, the upcoming action figures by Palisades toys, and the outcry of fans, Nick is bringing ZIM back from the dead. Production has already begun on season three of Invader ZIM. Jhonen Vasquez, the madman behind the series, will not be onboard this time around. Nick president Herb Scannell says that the series ‘takes an all-new approach’ next year, with all-new characters, such as Dib’s baby brother, Gib, Zim’s girlfriend Zee, and a mysterious group known as ‘The Resisty’ Everyone’s favorite robot, GIR, will also have a new voice this season, by Spongebob himself, Tom Kenny. The animation style will take a dramatic change, animated by Klasky-Csupo, whose talents can be seen on other Nick shows, such as Rugrats and As Told by Ginger. Amanda Bynes makes a guest apperance as a new girl in Zim’s class that Dib falls for. The new season, which begins next November, will debut with the episode ‘friend or foe’ in which Zim and Dib start to realize they have a lot more in common than once thought. Could they possibly become friends? Teen sensation Arron Carter will preform an all-new song for the intro, titled ‘out of this world’ which will also be available on Nick’s new CD “Nickelpalooza" ugh, so far I'd really rather not have new episodes now... sad

I'm still gonna give season 3 at least a CHANCE. I mean, I might as well since I wanted new episodes so badly. But I REALLY fear for Invader Zim now. This might ruin it forever. It may make them loose all of their fans. But since the episodes have yet to come out, im trying my best to not be too quick to judge. so im hoping it will still be good sad

I looked into it more and I found an old discussion topic back in 2007 that has that almost exact quote and it turns out it was a rumor started in 2004!!! sorry about that o_O I was terrified for awhile there... really sorry for the false information, it almost looked legit, but im glad its not. I think I may have to e-mail someone too see for sure if there will be new epsiodes in the future though

I haven't seen the show but I have seen a couple of episodes on Youtube.

Oh my gosh! Thank goodness! I'm glad it's just a rumor. I'd rather have no new episodes than screwed up lame ones.

I freaking love Invader Zim! Like SpyroGirl101, I have a boxset which has all three seasons on it. Truly a fantastic Nickelodeon show and GIR is my favorite character from the show!!!!!

I am actually a really huge Invader ZIM fan, but I am one of the rare fans who can't stand GIR. He's too stupid. I only liked him in 'GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff'. I'm actually a really huge TAK fan. I am really furious that they have no shirts of TAK, but go into any Hot Topic or place that sells good Tee's that are worth wearing, and they have nothing but GIR. He even overshadows ZIM, the main character! I mean, what's up with that?

I kind of agree with Eivana, Hot Topic should have more ZIM shirts or other character shirts besides GIR. While I like GIR, it'd be nice to see a Gaz or Dib or TAK shirt. I like TAK and her episode is one of my favorites.

I adore GIR myself. I think he's adorable and I love his stupidity. I actually have 2 GIR shirts, although I do agree that there should be other shirts as well. I would really, really love to have a Zim one :<
