Likely because his fame came during an era that was before the times of most people on this site, and so there's less appreciation. His songs were not generic at all; on the other hand, I find most music today generic. Likewise, others would have the opposite opinion.

Alright. I knew about MJ for years though, I liked his old stuff. His newer material doesn't appeal to me at all. And apparently I have a "groove" now...That's funny, forget going with the flow and picking up music that I've liked for ages and then starting to get back into the sound. Is that what they call it now?
