Bullets

Just for the heck of it, I feel the random urge to post up the differences
between bullet rounds. Some of you have heard or seen that the 7.62 mm
round closely resembles a .30-06 [pronounced thirty-aught-six or thirty-oh-six].
That is somewhat true. Also, you may have heard or seen that the 9 mm
round is close to a .45 caliber round. This is also somewhat true.

Here's a picture:

In order from left to right:

In this picture, you can see the difference from the 7.62 mm and the .50
caliber rounds. There is a large difference. A .50 could tear you to pieces.

You can see the round types in the picture.

Have fun. Don't drink and drive. Oh, and don't drink and shoot your
neighbors, either. It's not the smartest idea.

Re: Bullets

And if you want a bullet that will REALLY tear you to shreds, look at the 20mm.

Re: Bullets

Heheh, yes. That would indeed do damage. Even though there are hand-
held weapons that fire 20 mm rounds, the largest round in common hand-
held weaponry is the .50 caliber BMG. The most common and well-known
weapons that fire the .50 is of course the Barrett Model 107 and Model 82.

I know of a 25 mm sniper rifle by Barrett, which is the XM-109. It looks
fairly similar to the M107, but with a shorter barrel.
