Re: Rules that you live by.

You said you were a Christian for 7 years.
How did you become one, and who else were Christians around you?

I was taught about Christianity at school and my family were Methodists. I went to church twice.

Do your Chrisian friends talk to you about God or any of that stuff?
Same question to your family as well.

No, but I was called a gay Satanist by an old schoolmate just because I listened to metal and that I should just go and die. Nice man.

What is up with the hate against metal these days?

And this guy was a Christian?

Re: Rules that you live by.

I have nothing agaisnt black, or metal music. So you dont have to worry about that with me.  Personally, I think metal is just fine.  I listen to some. I don't see why some Christians don't accept it... well I do but nevermind about that.

He went totally the wrong way with you.

Indeed he did. But that was when I was 15. No music is Satanic(pay attention Swaffy tongue).

Re: Rules that you live by.

It certainlt isn't the Christian way to tell someone to die.

Well, what Im trying to get at is that it's the people around you who are to blame.  As Christian we are soppose to start teaching our young about God and his word at birth.  And your Christian friends don't seem to be doing that much either, but hey, who am I to judge.

But what if somebody doesn't want to accept the Word of God? Someone like me, mainly because I don't care for theistic practices.

Re: Rules that you live by.

This is deffinitely better than discussing everything than in an argueing kind of manner.

Well what sort of practices do you not care for?

Re: Rules that you live by.

Here is a list for me:

1. Baptizing.
2. Praying
3. Going to Church
4. Religious Holidays (I give gifts on New Years).

But I am not an atheist because of my dislike of those things. I am an atheist because I don't believe in what theists believe. I don't believe in God, heaven, hell, miracles, praying, creationism, or pretty much any story from the Bible.

I do believe in living for what you say are "selfish" reasons. I believe people should be happy and live for as long as they can.

Your dead. That's why living is so important.

I'm not going to talk anymore about what happens to you after you die, for death is the undiscovered country where no traveller returns.

Shakespeare ftw...
