Just relax and take a good laugh at him, but don't tear him apart just because he's "famous" (and by famous, I mean I still have no freaking idea who he is). It's okay to dislike someone for their attitude, but like I said before, he doesn't have that "diva attitude" that most famous people do, so just because his singing is horrible doesn't mean you should hate the person.

I feel that people WITH his attitude should get that kind of fame. The world would be a much better place if people like Brittany Spears acted calm like him.

EDIT: Just looked at a youtube video of his song for the first 10 seconds... Yea, his singing sucks.

What ever happened to the news when people like Walter Cronkite were around? Nowadays the only faithful news you can get is from blogs and podcasts, but those are done by non-professionals most of the time and seem to always include some sort of expressed opinion.

If you get hurt for an opinion, especially by a certain someone, then I just gotta say, whats wrong with people. Also Nice to know I'm not the only one with that opinion of him.

Half the things he does, I bet me, a friend, or plenty of people do. There's nothing wrong with being a good sport about things.

Look, you can have an opinion about someone. That's alright with me, but when you start swearing for and bashing at someone for no given reason, that's what sort of gets under peoples skin.

And lastly, your basically taking what BlackDragon said and turning it back towards her. She said your over reacting, and you tell her that she needs to calm down. She said that your bashing, and you tell HER to stop bashing. And last time I checked, he didn't insult you at all, which can hardly be called 'bashing'.

I want to echo what was asked before; What reasons do you hate him for? If you hate him for his singing, then that's sort of shallow, since that is like saying that you hate him for his hair color or how he speaks.

Infact, the only non-shallow reason to hate him would be for his attitude. So what specifically about his attitude do you hate?

I dislike Justin Bieber mainly for a few reasons:
1) I just don't catch onto his songs; don't find his youthful voice particularly something I'd listen to
2) his hair is like a lot of these skateboarder teens/tweens in grade school (scraggly and messy in one mass)

That's about it. This particular incident is mainly media-hyped stuff, but I find this amusing that he's getting a lot of attention for something that could've happened to anyone. If I stubbed my toe, I wouldn't get millions of hits online and in the media.

And about the "it's just my opinion" thing. Yes, everyone has a right to their own opinions. We hear this in every thread in every forum every single day. But that doesn't mean those opinions can't be wrong or subject to questioning and criticism. Sorry if I'm being picky about this; it's just one of my pet peeves when people think saying "it's my opinion!" gives them an excuse to get out of thinking about why that's their opinion.

Exactly! I can think of so many console war battles, Mac vs. PC debates, and Intel vs. AMD fights that people keep saying "It's better because it is" and not giving any rational explanation for WHY they have that opinion.

And then there are those people that put their opinion into EVERYTHING they can. I remember a while ago I made a thread asking what everyone's computer specs are, and the next thing I knew, a few people kept telling me that "PC is better than Mac" (they know who they are), and I kept telling them "I don't care, make a different thread for this". But they kept going and going and goinh.

I remember the same thing happened with a "Which console do you prefer" kind of thread. It wasn't on this forum, but I remember that after just a few hours it was locked due to high amounts of flaming.

It's not hatin', it's just not my cup of tea. And first impressions do matter. I honestly don't care about his personality or other facets of his life. This is the entertainment industry, and I'm mainly looking at music and presentation - I've already made my stance on both. It's not jumping the bandwagon either...I just don't like the mophead look, k?
