Voice Acting/Impressions
I discovered not too long ago that I enjoy voice acting and making voice impressions, however, my impressions are old and...out dated. Well, not that old, but I've gotten more practice since then. Plus, some characters are just difficult to make an impression of, like Mufasa from the Lion King, I've tried and crash and burned. I've also noticed I tend to enjoy playing the villain, especially since I have a low, growling voice.
Here's a few clips I've acted in/made. Pretty much me and the same person.
Actors:
Myself (DragonFire1170 on YouTube)
Melkundcookies (the female)
Melkundcookies's little brother (only shows up once)
1st Acting EVER, I play Scar:

2nd One, I think it's my worst one due to congestion.

3rd One, I start to improve.

Newest One (finally amped my voice clips' volume up in Audacity).

Hey, this is pretty cool! I only heard the Mufasa clip, but it's not bad. Will listen to the others later.
How many times does it take for you to get, say, a few sentences just right? And in your opinion, what is the best and worst parts of doing your own voice-overs?

Re: Voice Acting/Impressions
Sometimes I can get them right on the spot, other times (such as the Mufasa clips), a "d'oh" comes at the end and I end up doing it over about 10 or so times. Other times I forget what the character says and either "broken record" (repeat a syllable over and over) or mumble something. Sometimes I just growl when I mess up lol.
In my opinion, the best part of doing my own voice overs is when it's all put together and you see that you've actually done a great job. The worst part has to be the pre-mixing stage when I am recording myself on Audacity. My mind keeps going "not good enough, do it over" and "Too fast!"

Heheh. That's me when recording myself playing my guitar.
Anyways, how come I don't see you on Xbox Live anymore?

My Xbox RRoD'd, I'm waiting for it to come back (they had it for like an hour and emailed me saying it was on its way back, aparently I'm getting a brand new one).

Re: Voice Acting/Impressions
I know I just resurrected an old thread, but it's mine, and I got content, so it should be fine.
Done a fandub of Malefor (old dub, but still), I did screw up on a line and I forgot that I did, so it wormed its way into the dub. I only did 2 laughs, evil laughs aren't my specialty. I didn't dub as good as I normally do, since I was keeping my voice lower and more sinister than it normally is.
