^ Exactly the same. I was much younger back then so i didn't get the idea od training more then one Pokemon. My Blazican (I can not spell Pokemon names to save my life) did come in handy though. tongue

I've been a fan ever since I watched the show when I was like, 6. Granted there were a few years in there when I thought I was too old for it, but I still enjoy playing the games today. As a matter of fact, I was EVing my Cacnea about an hour ago. XD The show...not so much. As soon as I get my next paycheck I'm going to get HeartGold. And Lol, Zekira, haven't seen you in a while. Still into competitive battling I see. tongue

Ok there loosing a battle and have little points left...then they use some move and the other guy ALWAYS dies with 3 seconds to spear EVERY SINGLE F**ING TIME!!!!! XD

That's a setup and obviously it would be hard to break, but Wobbuffet doesn't need to set up to kill something. It just needs to get in without getting status'd (which is really freaking easy to do), and it can pretty much either kill something or allow one free turn of setup for another of his teammates. I use the Wobbuffet-Rayquaza-Scizor-Jirachi combination sometimes on Ubers and it has actually NEVER failed me. Wobbuffet goes in and BAM, it's either I can Encore-MC/Counter something or I can Safeguard/Encore-Rayquaza's DD or hurt something real bad using Scizor, and heal back Wobbuffet's life using Jirachi which makes KOing one Pokémon into KOing into an entire team instead or open even more opportunities for Rayquaza to DD.

Competitive Pokémon battling is, although I found it hard to accept before, all about the calculations and arrangements and can pretty much be scripted right from the start except for predictions and all that. The fact that there are already inevitable hax (crits) makes the default game already broken even with the clauses around.

Neither does Heracross. Also, Toxic is a really common move, as anything can learn it. Shuckle with Toxic is an annoying beast...

I don't see how any luck factor breaks the game.

Have you heard of taking an average? If people had more battles, it'd balance out any luck factor and would allow everything to be used, giving people more options. I'm against limiting things.

Yeah, and it has a Modest nature too, which is actually pretty good for Chatot.

Man, that sucks. What's the likelihood of that happening? So it must have been right at the start of the game?

My first shiny (if my memory is correct) was a Poochyena, In ruby right after i beat the pokemon league, I can't remember if i caught it, but i do remember looking for a another one there for like an hour.

I have 3 shinies. A yellow Fearow (called YELLOW, oddly enough - I caught it on my first game), Bellosem (called Yay!) and Budew (called Repisa - which means Shelf in Spanish).

Bleh, why can't I find a shiny pokemon that I actually like. XD

Has anyone seen (or done) the Celebi event in HG/SS? The one where you fight Giovanni.

I was battling him on Leaf Green the other day and just thinking 'Silver's dad, Silver's dad, Silver's dad!'

Giovanni left Silver at 7.

So now we know why Silver's such a spiteful jerk XD

Ah, I love him anyway (Silver, I mean, not Giovanni).

Heh, I'm getting so lucky now. Just caught a shiny Moltres in HeartGold a few days ago...not only that, but it has a Timid nature, which is great for battling. Just Ev'd it this morning. tongue I also have a shiny Wooper which I have yet to do anything with.

How do you do the Celebi event? Was it just a limited time thing?

Anyway, I'm changing the team round slightly. I'm replacing Furret with Arcanine. Simply because, although Furret is tough, she's a normal type and she's got no type advantages. Plus I've needed a Fire-type for a while. Secondly, Pidgeot's being replaced with Articuno. I really need an Ice-type to get rid of Lance's ridiculously strong dragons! mad

There's a way to get your Pokemon back out of the walker, even if it breaks or you lose it. Go to the Pokewalker connection screen on your DS and press and hold Up, Select, and R.

Also, @Sapphira, I really like the Pokewalker, especially when I have time to walk around a lot. I use the Pokewalker more than I play the actual game. XD

mmmm pokewalker. I can't for the life of me catch a flying pikachu.
Getting the 10,000 steps is the easy part. I have so many surfing pikachu in my boxes it's not even funny. XD
