3D Televisions
Yes, it's true. They are already being sold by a few companies, including
Samsung. I, personally, don't care to own one. I just want standard HD,
which I may never get anyways. Here's some cool info:

Re: 3D Televisions
I think that all this stuff like HD and 3D TVs and stuff take out the fun and uniqueness in going to the movies. It just doesn't seem special anymore.

Re: 3D Televisions
I've heard of this; it's new technology that probably won't become mainstream until a little later - or it may not become mainstream at all. But, I presume that we'd be able to watch Avatar in 3D once again.

Re: 3D Televisions
Not interested at all. 3D might be fun when you go to a theatre with friends, but I don't see it the same at way home. Plus, you need to wear the glasses, and you get headaches and eyestrain while watching. Samsung issued a warning to all 3dtv users.

New TVs that now have 3D, wasn't HD and Blu-Ray enough?

Re: 3D Televisions
like i said
tv's are more of a show peice now
it's all about money
i garentee all they do to the sets is stick a lil chip in them that cost like 5 quid to make
and they charge another 1K for that and peole go and buy it,
come next year some thing better but not comes out and every one wants that as they think it's better
it's like mobie phones i have my old one from 2k4 it works it's a phone it doe's its job
i can't see the point in going out and spending god knows how much for some thing that does the same thing
people forget the phone is for phoneing, and they have camras and stuff now all well and good and it's handy but i don't see the point

Re: 3D Televisions
Anyways, I read a few articles about how 3 dimension televisions are 3 - 5
times more harmful to your health than standard televisions. This includes
deterioration of eyesight and possible seizures.

I have a standard and an HD TV. I don't want to upgrade to 3D, I'm happy with HD.

Re: 3D Televisions
i'm with Spyrorocksno sucking up intended LOL, seriously, 3D is fine when you're going to the movies, but on a TV?... no. good grief, i have a normal TV set and it's fine. i don't want to go buy a new one and some cereal box prize glasses when i have a perfectly fine one [that i hardly use] right here at home... technology in general is moving too fast. but at least before it wasn't too unhealthy.
but 3D is when it's for too long.

Re: 3D Televisions
Despit health risks that come with 3D in general, I have never really seen how 3D even looks 3D. It looks just the same to me, except there are red and blue spots outlining the screen.

I like your sig, Spyro22.

They use grey glasses these days. I don't think the blue and red glasses
are used any more.

Re: 3D Televisions
I agree with Aicebo on this one. HD TVs already have a great picture, and it would take the fun out of going to movies. Honestly, I don't think the idea will catch on.

Re: 3D Televisions
I don't want to wear stupid glasses just to watch TV.
Besides, I only watch How I Met Your Mother these days.
