Re: Is it so hard...
It's partially due to the demographics of the site, along with poor site maintenance. I don't know why I still browse that place sometimes, but I do.

Everyone gets a fair chance from me to earn respect, and if you get it then I'll treat you with just as much. I'll help anyone if they ask for it, but if you just end up being another jack@$$ then I'll have no sympathy for you if you ask or need it.

Hey, Saph, I'll be your friend any day. I know how you feel and what it is
like to feel betrayed by a friend. Thinking they can be trusted, but turn on
you. It's hard stuff to deal with.
[hr:9d90e6be66]
To be honest, I only have two real friends. That's if you go by the real
definition of a friend, not what society says. In fact, the three of us have
been friends since the other two were born [I'm the oldest of the group].

Re: Is it so hard...
I don't have any "real life" friends, haha
all the people that have "real life" friends are often the ones who have "friends" that are constantly looking down upon eachother and making fun of eachother, and not jokingly
you know?
I witnessed a girl being put down by her friends in a resturant a few weeks ago just because she didn't eat meat. I don't really see the point in this lifestyle, but I'd NEVER make fun or put a friend down for that.
Everyone knows I only eat Cynder fangirls.

Well all of them are my friends. But the real sad thing is that I don't hang out with them enough

All my friends are people that I can relate to. Horseriding, Pokemon, Transformers. etc.
I also have my pretend friends, who pretend to like me but really you can tell they hate me because I'm too 'different'.
But my school has changed for the last couple of days. Because a year eleven student was teased so much they took their own life last weekend, anyone in my school has not said a single mean thing to eachother.

It is sad to know that in order for society do do the right thing, a tradegy

I have a lot of "friends", y'know, people that you say hi to and have a conversation with every now and then.
My best friends are pretty beast. We can be a-holes to each other, but in a funny way.

Really? Because one person in the world commits suicide thanks to teasing? Look, I can see it's morally wrong on most accounts to bully someone to the point of suicide, but that's a big statement to make there.
On a counter point, many people in my own school have come to terms with bullying as a required form of discipline. If those first years grow without being teased or bullied at all, inevitably they grow up into total *bleep*s. They will seriously terrorize the students that come after them, and that's the sort of bullying that causes suicides.
I had to post this, the "I hate humanity" monster loomed.
It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

When my class was told that the student died, about half the teachers in my school who knew him personally had to leave.
The people who had bullied him to the point of suicide have been thinking what they had done and regret all the things they had said.
This whole incident was a huge slap in the face for everyone. Which was what we needed.

Thanks for the tip. I mean, I constantly did it all the time, even though this is really the first time I came out with it. I constantly used to use it in real life, where it is rare I interact with anyone. Where was I going?

Re: Is it so hard...
I agree with Aceedwin, bullying on that scale is unacceptable. However, no form of teasing at all is not a good thing.
I read something somewhere that when young children are teased, sometimes to the point of being upset, it helps them to distinguish the difference between 'play-fighting' and 'real-fighting'. Which is also what Aceedwin was on about. If a kid doesn't know the difference between 'fake' and 'real' then they willl either take a joke too far when they are older, or will likely snap at someone and start a fight when the person that was messing with them was obviously joking.
I've had something like that happen to me before. I was being sarcastic at this 12-year-old, not being mean or anything but you get the idea. I was teaching him in a swimming lesson and he said something on the line of 'these things are what babies use' and I replied sarcastically: 'Yeah, like your not a baby'. What did he then do? He flew off the handle with me. So, what did I then do? I gave him a life lesson. I told him to get over it, I was being sarcastic and he should learn to recognise it. I told him that he isn't actually a baby, so if someone says anything to him along those lines they are likely teasing you or are trying to bully you. So, you just take it, if someone is calling you a baby then that is obviously not true so you ignore their feeble attempts at degradation. It's also something that you don't go to teachers or parents to saying that it is bullying, because they will have a different idea to what bullying is and will take action that is likely too extreme for what the situation really called for.
I've had that plenty of times too... Parents asking me why I didn't take action when kids were bullying each other in front of me. And I told them I didn't do anything because it wasn't bullying, it was ribbing and a bit of that is a good thing because it toughens you up. If it went to far I would get them told. Seriously, people have no respect and trust nowadays.

Yeah, it's just difficult. I hate having Autisum, it sucks. I mean, a really bad flame would actually sent me into almost sucide phase.

I used to think that because I had it I wouldn't able to live an average life, but later I learned what you lack in some parts(like me, I can't take in certain amounts of information and I'm quite sociophobic) and you make up in others(I can remember lines, lyrics and tunes and I can write quite well although I wouldn't say I'm great at it).
