Ulkna simply stood and laughed at him coldly. "Ignitus... You remember how I kill... Don't you?" He gestured at the decapitated ape nearby. "If I could, I'd kill you and all your little friends right here, right now. Without making a single move. Cynder - we'll get to her later. For now, I'll just kill that purple brat before he becomes a nuisance to me..." He said chillingly, slowly walking towards Spyro while Cynder was still trying to recover from her horror.

Sparx flew in front of Ulkna's face. "Hey you leave my buddy alone!" He said putting his fists up in a boxing stance.

Spyro , seeing that big scary guy walking toward him , hold back , but said :
"Emm...Well , I would prefer to fight later , if you see what I mean...But REAL later...In fact , never could be even better , but with you , I suppose that it isn't even a possibility...Sparx , come back !"

"You won't fight later... Because you'll be dead." Ulkna said, continuing to advance on the purple one and trying to ignore the annoying dragonfly that was dancing in his face. This purple dragon would ruin his plans for sure - he had to be destroyed...

Cynder on the other hand had managed to hold back her puke and calm down. Breathing deeply, she got to her feet and faced Ulkna. It was then that she got a good look at the dark dragon. He was huge, even bigger than Ignitus and Neo, and he had several small scars all over his body, not just that massive one on his dead eye. Plucking up her courage, she charged forward and stood in front of Spyro.

"STOP IT!" She yelled desperately. "Why do you want to kill him? He's done nothing wrong."

Ulkna merely towered over her and smirked. "No, not yet." He said. "But eventually, that dragon will become a real burden to me. Whereas you, my dear..." He lowered his head so that his head was level with hers. "...You will become an apprentice."

"Never!" Cynder hissed, starting to tremble. What did he mean?! "I don't belong with you! I belong here, with my friends. And this is where I'm going to stay!"

Ulkna sighed and rolled his eyes. "I don't have time for this. MOVE!" He bellowed, raising his paw and batting Cynder out of the way. His eye began to glow, and a maniacal grin appeared on his face. "Time to die urchin." He growled, glaring at the purple dragon's neck.

((This is how Ulkna dismembers his victims. He is going to try and decapitate Spyro. When he is glaring like this at a certain area of the body, that part will feel a tingling sensation. They should get out of his line of sight as soon as possible, since he can only dismember them when he's looking at the area in question.))

"Oh my..."
Spyro thought that Ulkna was teleportating behind him while stay running in front of him. Of course it didn't make any sense , but he didn't want to try to stay in front of one of them , and jumped on his left , twice to escape even farther , because he was never attacked like that before...
"Wow , what was this !?! And what do you mean by "that dragon" ? If it's me that you wanna kill , come and get me !"
He stayed on an evasive moveset , composed by jumps and rolls , trying to not let the panic disturb him , and to find an opening , in case he could neutralize him.
Since he was the only target , running away from the place could save the others from Ulkna , he thought.

Neo finished off another Ape as the smaller ones started to back off from the dragons. He looked towards where Spyro is, expecting to see him doing just as well, but instead saw Spyro backing away and trying to avoid the other dragon. Without hesitation, he charged at the other dragon in order to allow Spyro a chance to escape, swinging his tail blade as soon as he got close enough.

As Ulkna continued to advance towards the Purple Dragon, who thought that the few seconds before his demise were a game, something sharp and hard smacked him in his right side. He grunted and swiped his claws aimlessly in the direction the attack came from, while wincing at the pain of a long cut on his side.

((Remember, Ulkna is blind in his right eye, so he can't always see attacks from that direction.))

Neo took a step back as the other dragon swiped at where he would be. He let out a fierce rour before smashing his horns into the other dragon's sides and ramming him, knocking the dragon down. He will not let any harm come to the Purple Dragon, not now.

Spyro was now hesitating between two choices : helping Neo or running away.
Staying far from the fight , he asks him :
"Wanna me to run or to fight , Neo ? If we are two against him I think we can win , but...I'm asking you , if you can think of a better plan than that..."

Once again, Ulkna's half-blindness got the better of him. Neo had tackled him right where his new wound was on his side. He grunted as he was nearly knocked off his feet. The wound bled violently and hurt like hell. But Ulkna didn't falter - he had suffered much worse before.

"Neo..." He said quietly, "...You're a fool. I don't know why Ignitus chose you as a partner..." His eyes widened, and his green eye began to glow brightly. He glared at Neo's torso. "Let's end it..."

((Again, he's using dismemberment. He's trying to pull Neo in half here. Remember the tingling sensation, and try to get out of his line of sight ASAP.))

Neo gritted his teeth as he felt a tingling feeling overwhelming him, the black dragon not knowing of what Ulkna can do. Ignitus, on the other hand, took action as he charged at Ulkna to try to break his focus. "Neo, don't let him look at you with that eye!" He stepped back, ready for whatever attack Ulkna would use on him.

The excitement was overwhelming him. Ulkna grinned maniacally as his eye began to glow fiercely. Just one little psychic tug. Neo would feel no pain whatsoever. Ah. But does he deserve to die a painless death, or shall I torture him first? Ulkna debated.

Suddenly, Ulkna instinctively dove to the side as he briefly spotted a barrel of red scales darting towards him. He swore violently as he lost his gaze on Neo. He glared at Ignitus. "That eye? So you do know how I kill. I thought you where just old and senile." He steadied himself and smirked at Ignitus. "Oh how I wish I could kill you. You and your little guardian friends caused me so much trouble back then... Luckily, three of them are out of the way now, hm?"

Meanwhile, Cynder groaned as she slowly got to her feet. She felt a dull pain in her side where Ulkna had smacked her away. Thankfully there was no bleeding, but she was sure she had a bruised rib or something.

Who the HELL is he?! She thought, examining the dark dragon, Who does he think he is, threatening to kill us? We've done nothing wrong. And the way he killed that ape... She shuddered, trying not to look at the decapitated corpse, ...Was just barbaric! He didn't even move... Did he do all that with his mind?!

She faced Ulkna, trying to look brave when in fact she was terrified. "LEAVE US ALONE!" Without even thinking, she lunged in the air, using her wings to propel her, and landed on Ulkna's back. She then sank her two front fangs into his hide. Ulkna groaned slightly, as if he had been nipped by a mouse, and turned to face Cynder, laughing coldly.

Cynder was confused. Was she not hurting him? Glancing down, she realised that there was a green liquid drizzling down Ulkna's back. His blood is green?! She thought bewildered. Disturbed by Ulkna's haunting laughter, she realised her grip and glided to the ground.

Ulkna grinned and shook his head at her. "Lucky for you, I am immune to any type of Dark attack, since we both have the same qualities, my dear."

"NO! I'm nothing like you! You're a monster!"

"And, really, so are you. Wait until you discover your other powers, Cynder. That one there is called Poison. Use it well." He turned back to Neo, Spyro and Ignitus. "To be honest, right now I have more important things to be doing, so for now I'll spare your lives. Now, I just have to go and make sure that Volteer is comfortable so I can drain his life away." He laughed harshly.

Spyro was amazed by what he just saw , Cynder flying for the first time , green blood , there was definitively a lot of things who happened in this day.
He provokes Ulkna , regretting his far away position to the fight , since he let him go...
"...Volteer ?...Stop to annoy everybody with pain and such things who only fill up some interest from yourself , for once...Cynder is nothing like you , you can bet what you want about it ! You'll always loose , emmm...MONSTER ! That's a so suitable name for you !"

Ignitus stepped in front of Spyro and sighed. "Let him go. You're not ready to take him down just yet..." He looked down to the purple dragon. "It is best that all of us should stay alive, be lucky he didn't kill you and that Neo and I was around, as well as Cynder." He looked back to Ulkna, still in a defense stance. 'My fears are confirmed...' he thought to himself.

Neo growled at Ulkna as the dark dragon laughed at Cynder's attempt to hurt him. "I swear, next time I see you again, I will kill you...one way or another." He knew that Ulkna couldn't be killed easily, seeing how his attacks did little damage. 'There is a way to kill him...there always is.'

((Just in case people are confused, the green liquid was Cynder's poison, not Ulkna's blood. His blood is red as usual. wink ))

Ulkna merely smirked at their attempts to threaten him. "OK... sure." He said, rolling his eyes and starting to walk away. The small wound where Cynder had bit him stung slightly, and the green poison dribbled down his side. Hmm... looks like I'll have to discipline her, won't I?

Cynder licked the rest of the green liquid off her lips and stared into space, deep in thought. Poison? He called it a Dark power... I don't understand. Why would I have a Dark power? I'm nothing special...

Ulkna turned to Ignitus and Neo as he reached the trees. "Well then, good luck in finding Volteer!" He smirked. "And you..." He glared at Spyro. "You'd better hope we don't cross paths again, urchin. Because if we do, you certainly won't live to tell the tale." At that, a bright green light enveloped him, and he disappeared.

Cynder trotted over to Neo, Sparx, Spyro and Ignitus. "Are you all OK? Who was that?" Although Ulkna had gone, her stomach was still in knots. Apprentice? Dark powers? What the hell was going on?

((OMG, this is SO OOC for Ulkna. He NEVER let's people go alive! XD))

Spyro sighs...It's over , phew...
He has many question running in mind.
"Sure , this guy wasn't a joke , that's a chance that he let us alive..."
Sharing his feelings with the rest of the group , he said :
"That was intense ! I'm Okay Cynder. What about you ? Oh , and yeah , I would like to know who was that guy too. And why he keeps aiming at me. I'm sure all he said about you means nothing Cynder , because both of me and sparx can confirm that you've never seen this guy before , and so can the others dragonflies."

Ignitus sighed in relief, but he knew that it wasn't over yet. "It's not safe..." he muttered. Neo looked to Ignitus and nodded, agreeing with him. He looked to Spyro and Cynder. "Spyro, Cynder... it is not safe for you to stay here in these woods." He sighed. "If the Apes and Ulkna found you, then you would have to head somewhere else...." Ignitus looked to Neo, shocked at what he said. "Where else would they go? Almost all of the Dragon Realms are controlled by him then where would they go?" Neo turned to Ignitus with determination. "We will take back the Dragon Temple, kick the Apes out of there. It is the safest place to be since it is fortified, easier to defend then here."

Neo turned his attention back to Spyro and Cynder. "You will have to tell your parents, let them know of what happened and what you will do. They will understand."

"Yeah, OK, I agree, but you STILL haven't answered my question!" Cynder squealed, "Who on earth was that... that... psycho?!" She felt that she needed to know, since everything that Ulkna had said to her was whirling around in her mind like a whirlpool. Dark powers... Apprentice...

That answer wasn't sastifying enough Spyro , because it lacked the main element : Ulkna. Why this big guy wanted him dead , and what about this...meaningless things he said to Cynder ?
But as Cynder already asked this question , he just added :
"I'll , but you have to explain all this to us before. I'm getting lost in all this ! And being the main target , if I don't know anything about my most mortal enemy at all , I'm not going far...Especially if YOU strong guys can't even stand against him."

"I'll explain who Ulkna is while we are on our way." Ignitus replied. "It would be time for you all to know what has happen while you were here..."

"Then let us not wait. The more time we stay here, the more likely that more Apes would come. We'll head back to your parents before we head to the Dragon Temple." said Neo as he turned to head in the direction where Spyro lived for the last few years.

Ignitus looked towards Spyro and Cynder. "All will be explained...but I can tell you now that you both play a big part in the events that will come...I cal feel it." He turned to follow Neo.

Cynder frowned as she followed Ignitus and Neo. "But... While Ulkna threatened to kill Neo and Spyro, why did he spare you? What does he need you for? And who's this Volteer?" She had a nasty gut feeling as to why Ulkna didn't want to kill her...
