Westboro Baptist Church
Has anyone else besides me heard of this sad excuse for a church? This church located in Kansas, hates gays, lesbians, Jews, those who are friends with gays, Hindus, and many other religions. The fact of the matter is, these people sicken me with how rude and disrespectful they can be towards those who are Americans.
I am honestly wanting to shoot everyone of these sick people!!!!
Tell me what your opinions are.
I have changed my username from Justin Long Fanatic to EricChristianOlsenFanatic, so Justin Long Fanatic is my old name on this site, and EricChristianOlsenFanatic is my new one.

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
Hhmm... There's a church called exactly that where I live in the UK. Only Westborough is the street/area... I wouldn't really know, I never go to church and I never have outside of the catholic school I went to.

They are a very bad example. But do not hate, JLF. Hate is a serious matter.

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
From what you described there it reminds me of this kid on youtube that had one of those religious channels and preached about how wrong it was to be this or that
And he got troll'd
Big time
I remember a direct quote was "God hates everyone except the people that follow him and obey all his laws"
Once again I lol'd, because if there is a God then he surely doesn't hate anyone.
I think the kid's name was joshchristian or something on there

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
They are messed up!
Kinda the opposite of what Christians are sopposed to be.
I dont even see how they call themselves a church.
Do you think they may be mislead?

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
Well, Christianity is really what ever you want to make of it, has been since the dark days of the Catholic Church the first popularised it. Honestly it is what you want to make of it, but this may have gone to far. There are things that I don't think God would approve of and one or two of these are in their values, and I don't think that they are anywhere near correct for the others and we should never act on these thoughts reguardless if they are right or wrong.
Claiming that you want to kill them though doesn't make us any better than them does it? In fact it makes us just as bad, only once they actually practice their religion violently should we desire a bad outcome for their lives.
You are being equaly dis-respectful against those who are also American...
Just playing Devil's Advicate here
As a side note you guys do know that this entire topic is against the "Banned Topics" rule right?

I guess it depends on how you view it. Sorry ladies and gentlemen could not think of anything else to say :-P. And if this thing is banned we should leave it be.

I don't really know if this counts since it's not a debate on an actual religion than a religious group.

I think we all can disagree more or less on the "views" of this "church", so there's nothing to argue thus far.

lol yeah, some churches are completely wrong about their views. Especially if they hate gays or jews and stuff, cause they're not supposed to.

So wouldn't agreeing?
Oh I don't know.. this is a tight rope to walk here though.. Churches aren't supposed to hate at all though lol...

I find it very hard to not start expressing my religious views.
It against the rules isn't it?

Me too. I'm a Christian. Judging by your signature, you're a Christian too right? If so, we should chat via PM cause it's so hard to find true Christians these days! ![]()

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
We shouldn't kill them, but just let them live their hollow and meaningless lives until they die. That's torture enough. But boy are THEY in for a big surprise when they die

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
Or, just possibly, they have been initiated into this way of thinking from birth. I am quite disgusted by your opinion that they should undergo the torture you believe their lives to be. Shouldn't we at least attempt to reverse these effects? You think they all have chosen that philosophy? I doubt it. I would put forward that the majority of people who attend this church had parents who attended. Religion mainly survives by being past down through family. After all, what five year old would question Daddy when he says that the homosexuals are wrong. Of course they are! Why? My Dad says so, duh.
Hate the belief, not the believer.

WHat's wrong with hating both? It's better than killing them at least

Re: Westboro Baptist Church
What's wrong with hating you? It's better than killing you. Come on lad, have a little compassion and/or common sense. The ironic thing is that I bet they don't kill people. They could use that your excuse perfectly.
It occurs to me that your post may have been a joke. I really hope it was.
