Re: Teenagerism

If I started puberty at 8 i think I would have had a nervous breakdown. If It were up to me, Puberty would be less harsh for both sexes.

Re: Teenagerism

Oh, jeez I got my period when i was I think maybe 11. I was so freaked out because my mom never talked to me about it. I was so ticked. She thought that i would get it at the normal age. Ha, yeah right! Now I'm pretty much used to it though the cramps kill me during the week.

Re: Teenagerism

Exercise helps with the cramps, I get really bad period pains too and when I'm swimming I never notice it until I get home afterwards. Chocolate and a hot-water bottle help too, though generally the best thing is to do something that takes your mind off of things...

I started when I was 11 too. Though mine was just an extremely light one, no more than the tiniest bit of blood. Then a few months later I really started them; unluckily me it was the thursday before I went to Leeds for a swimming competition. I can remember bawling my eyes out because I couldn't put in tampons right and I really wanted to swim. XD

Lol, good times. I got it in the end, and still got to go.

Re: Teenagerism

^ XD

I started when I was 11 too. It was just after a parent's evening at school, sometime in November 2004. I remember going to the toilet and discovering it. I can't really remember much else though. It feels like I've been having them forever, and it's only been 5 years.

Really? Chocolate? I never knew that. At least now I have a good excuse to wolf down tons of the stuff! XD

I also find that a nice hot bath helps too, and it also makes you feel better in general, since you've freshened up.

Re: Teenagerism

Yeah, I discovered mine when i went to the bathroom too. And honestly when i do get those agonizing cramps, i try my best to not think about it and it actually does work most of the time anyway

Re: Teenagerism

Yup, you eat the chocolate and you think "Mmmmmm. Choooooclaaaaate..." rather than "OOOOOOOOOOWWW!!!"
I think it's also something to do with endorphins being released which make you feel better, that's what happens when you exercise and I think it also happens with the chocolate too.

Yeah, she's right, boys have it easy.

When girls become adults, they have to get ***** and give birth. Also, they're the most common victims of *bleep*. That, or I haven't heard any cases of male *bleep*.
