Re: Teenagerism
lol, it seems that the people posting now agree that women have it tougher.
A quick word of advice to guys who are thinking about shaving for the first time: Don't unless it's getting bad.. Once you do you are going to have to shave everynight from there out.
Really? I only need to shave every week or so... Although, if I don't then I will look like Hitler... No seriously, it makes me look exactly like Hitler...

Re: Teenagerism
I have to shave every single day. It hurts so bad when my school makes me shave in the morning and then at night. I hate it!
But girls have it way much worse than boys. Actually, other than facial shaving, puberty for boys isnt really all that bad.
But girls, they got periods, shaving their whole body, and a bunch of other stuff. Not to mention giving birth later in life.
So feel sorry for girls.
We boys are lucky.

YES, THANK YOU!
Finally someone has realised.
@ Phoenix: OMG, poor you! Thankfully that's never happened to me, and I hope it never does. ![]()
As for me... the usual really; mood swings, spots and the dreaded period.

Re: Teenagerism
Oh don't get me started on spots... Ever since I hit 13 I've been getting them all of the time, I had moderate acne at one point! Nowadays though, it's just the odd few on my forehead or my chin.

Well, now that we got the difference between guys and girls at puberty out of the way...
Doesn't everyone hate how their metabolism skyrockets?

Re: Teenagerism
Metabolism is the chemical reactions that occur within an organism's cells to keep it alive (I have a horrible suspicion that this sentence is faulty in grammar...) Your rate of metabolism determines how much you need to eat, your energy levels, whether you're fat or not, etc.
I remember when I could get by on relatively little. Now I sometimes wake up at night because the dinner I thought would be enough turned out not to be enough to sate me. It's okay in the summer, when I can go outside and play sports (basketball being my favorite), but indoor exercise in the winter blows... It's just too limited and boring.

Re: Teenagerism
That's what he meant by he is tired all the time.
When you are going through puberty, your metabolism skyrockets higher than it ever will be in your life. As a result, you will eat more, be thinner, and be tired much more.

Re: Teenagerism
It seems that in most cases girls have it much tougher, Usually it stems from self-concioussness and periods, but Generally Self Conciousness (Self concious of periods). With Boys it really depends who you are. Some boys Dont care at all about their changing appearance or "how things work" Some boys do. Boys get much more hair than girls (In more places and Much thicker) But girls feel EXPECTED to shave all round. If You are a boy and want to shave (Not talkinga bout face, talking about body) because you feel self-councious, you will have a much harder time than girls. And Face is easier to shave than Girls legs, though men legs are extremely tricky to shave, and grow back extremely quickly. It Is also noticable that facially boys change much more than girls, And some boys can feel self concious about that too. The hormones that change the brain are at the opposite sides of the spectrum. Girls have to deal with a bmbardment of emotion, while boys experience a lack of it. On first glance it would seem harder for girls, but it simply means that expressing emotions is far too easy, which can get embarassing, But Boys who find themselves unable to express turn to agressiveness and depression. So, again, Girls get self concious, Boys just feel depressed....Most of the time.
With Girls its usually the same, Self concious and periods. With Boys, it depends who you are.
I Felt Extremely depressed when I came into Teenagerhood, I Really felt like my youth was leaving me, I would never be the same. and well i feel happier now, but not by much. I Feel Like i cant express anything anymore, and I used to get bullied for expressing too much. I Am Agressive all the time, and I feel like I am too strong for myself to handlle. I Havnt start shaving yet, but yes i feel self concious about my hairy body. I dont know why, Men arnt expected to shave...Im my own worst enemy here.
Some things i dont mind are my voice, I can see advantages and disadvantages of my new and old voice, Im Not that self concious about that as other things. I Also hate my height, Im too tall I believe, I wanted to capp at 5:8, But Im on 5:10 and continuing. I Feel like a giant at times.
Anyway, Thats my life story

Me too. I stay up for as long as I can (or at least until I start to doze off!). No wonder I'm always tired...

That's a nice little essay you wrote there. Well, you're somewhat figuring it
out. I am a 6' 1" Senior in high school, and shortest guy in my class. All of
the girls ... well, they are just plain short.

Re: Teenagerism
I dont think that's too short. Id say that's average for your age.
You still have 9 years of growing height still. Youll grow. I was 5 feet when I was 12. Now im 6'2.

god yeah, I know how that is. can't stand going to bed early either. but I swear... its getting worse and worse. first my latest time would be 3:00 in the morning. after awhile it turned into 4:00. now here lately I have been up till 6:00 in the morning. O_O;; yikes. but im turning 19 this year so im really not really a teen anymore. (18 is when your are technically an adult) but they say thats teens need the most sleep. but it think its becuase of staying up late and getting up early for school. because alot of teens seem to do that the most. but I dont need to worry about school since I graduated last year c:
