It sounds bad, but the only bad part is the sudden cracks in your voice.

Re: Teenagerism
Could be worst. i'm the only guy in the whole year group with facial hair. It makes me feel like an outsider. Barly anyone in the years above do either. I have asked. a few shave but I can't be bothered yet.

Re: Teenagerism
yeah... there are times where its just no fun to be girl. but going through puberty is nothing. It just sort of happens. and you go on with your life. if you think its bad now then your probably not going to survive through life. because its not that bad. (at least boys dont have to worry about friggin bleeding every month for the most of their life >_> )

Re: Teenagerism
But being a boy, you'll have hair growing all over the place (face, body, armpits, and other areas).
And males has to take care of shaving. I can tell you, shaving is very painful especially on the face, you'll get blood spots on you face where you shaved at, mix the aftershave to the wounds, it's like getting stung by hundreds of bees on your face

Maybe not on the face, but every other spot you mentioned women have that too
I think women just shave more often so it's not as noticeable
Plus not with shaving but there are feminine issues that happen that boys don't get
I don't think anyone would really know which is worse unless they had a gender change mid-puberty ![]()

Re: Teenagerism
Blod-spots when shaving? What are you people using? Kitchen knives?
I use an electric razor that removes the hair in a few seconds... No matter how hard you press, it doesn't cut you.
So that fixes the male problem, but female?
There are pills that you can take that makes you have your... 'Problems' about twice a year...

Re: Teenagerism
lol.. I have to think that women get it worse off.. Honestly I couldn't even tell I went through puberty..
Nothing serious, just a little bit of appearance differences. I'm not very self-concience either though.. lol.
If you are shaving and you are bleeding you aren't doing something right.. I have to shave everynight with a traditional shaver and it happens oh.. about once ever 3 months for me.
If nothing else it' would be worse for women because they are very self-concience where as guy could typicaly care less.

The only things that changed that I really know is hair, voice and eh... behavior ![]()
But man my voice was weird when I was 10 or something. So incredibly high, compared with what it's now...

Re: Teenagerism
Both boys and girls have huge shifts in their hormones, though for girls it happens every month. I mean, I've finished puberty yet at certain times of the month I find myself in a foul mood for no reason other than I just am, I'm a pain to live with then.
I'm a swimmer as well, so things tend to be a bit more of a pain for me and other girls who swim pretty much everyday. You kinda have to shave, or else you end up with hairy armpits, legs and bikini lines; if there were ever a time to feel self conscious its when you forget to shave one morning... On top of that you can't just stop swimming when you're on your period either. You have to work hard to get yourself really fit and reach your top speed and strength, and I've found that if you miss just 2-3 days of training your fitness plummets. So swimmers have to take it in their stride and just use tampons, though I'll admit doing a tumble-turn with them in can be uncomfortable...
Wanna know the BIGGEST pain in the *bleep* though? When you 'come on' halfway through a training session or in the middle of a gala... Urgh, horrible. Not to mention embarassing if you're not the one to notice...
My brother is 13 and is having growing pains though. He's growing so fast that his back can't handle it, he can barely stand up straight and it really hurts him to do so. About three months ago, his head was level with my eyes, he's now less than half an inch from being taller than me... He's missed so many training sessions as well that even I can beat him in the water and he's a boy so he's faster than me!

Re: Teenagerism
*cough* ahem, I can imagine women have a much more annoying time when they have their puberty... Urk, I'm happy I don't have periods... However, I feel sorry for the women. We men have a much easier time.
Still, I'm hesitating of taking a nice moustache! xD

Re: Teenagerism
lol, it seems that the people posting now agree that women have it tougher.
A quick word of advice to guys who are thinking about shaving for the first time: Don't unless it's getting bad.. Once you do you are going to have to shave everynight from there out.
