Re: Furries

Exactly and besides i don't trust Wiki Sights because people change the information all the time and when you look at the wiki sight if i wasnt a person who understands furrys then it would give a bad impression... Look carefuly at how they word some of the stuff and the pictures...

Re: Furries

My major gripe with most furries is that they belive that they are not human when it is very clear that they are. I don't buy the whole disguse thing until they prove it.

Re: Furries

No its that we don't like humanity as a species. We see just how bad we really are.

Re: Furries

I don't believe that im an animal or anything. But I do find the human species disgusting. and I don't say that because I'm a furry. for me personally my disgust with most people has nothing to do with furries. I'm just sick of people who don't care about anyone but themselves. but that's a different subject.

Re: Furries

I don't believe that I'm an animal, although I do feel that I have a weird connection with K9s. Trust me its as weird to me as it is to you. I know that I'm a wolf figuratively speaking. i've known that far before I was a furry. But whatever.

Ok that is true. People do kind of go over the extream. But acctualy alot of them Call them selves a furry but when you ask them what furry they are they actualy make one up on the spot. I know a few that i used to talk to on my spazz and well i havent used my spazz in ages.

DarkFury wrote:

You sound that as if that means every one. Its true i think humanity is and has set itself to be hung by the neck, but that doesnt mean im going as a furry because of that. One has to find them "inner" furry as i say. To me a furry is basicaly the inner creature you wish to be. Thats why alot of people have different personality when they act as their furry. Not that or my thoughts, some do try to seperate them selves from humanity because its so screwed up with all the bias aginst this and raceist that, and because of "my" religion i am to be against that. People have furried because in the ideal world to be a furry there isnt any bias beings and every one is equal wether straight, bi, or gay. To me thats what i see in being a furry you have the freedom to be who you are or who you wish to be but cant because of how sociaty is so out of whak because of the baisness.

Rurikredwolf wrote:

I honestly kind of find that offensive. All because of recently i have been thinking alot about the this one artical long ago about a couple in England that got kicked off a bus because the girl acts like a dog. Not to make that sound mean or anything, she said she likes to pretend to be a dog. And her boyfriend doesn't mind. He doesn't consider him self a furry. and yet he is with a girl who acts like the furry she wishes she could be. There isnt anything wrong with it. What im getting at is some furrys do deny that because its what they wish they could be. Whats the point of haveing a "free" world if one cant wish to be something else and or act like one they wish to be. True they are in a solid human shape forum, but the soul of some one can be anything they want. If they want to deny being human let them. They have the right to image them selves at what they want because what they image them selves brings them happyness. The fact about helping the race is kind of a laugh. It is hard for a single person in todays time help the race of humanity.

If not all of this made sense its prolly because im feeling greatly frustrated over how quickly this Topic again turned from a me trying to get this topic into a cheerful topic and away from argueing.

Re: Furries

You're over thinking it in my part. I was just saying that we don't really believe that we are. We just don't like ourselves as the beings we are. Don't over think it on my part bro, because then all you're doing is taking my words out of the context I meant them to be in. XD You're not the only one who does it though. A lot of people think I mean one thing when its really something else. Its this issue with 'tone' I have.

EDIT: Um, redwolf, you do realize that humanity is a doomed race anyway right? Weather or not anyone here thinks theres going to be an apocalypse or wtfever, humanity is beyond help at this point. I personally don't see us lasting another 50 years, but hey thats just me.

Anyways, lets stop bickering. Its getting old real fast and rather immature. Is anyone going to answer my original question??

Re: Furries

Does anyone know of any war games besides Halo that you can play as an animal? Or just the best games that you can?

Re: Furries

I love Halo. Its just that good. I love the story, the characters, the weapons, the vehicles, everything. I have no complaints anywhere in the Halo series. I can't wait for Reach. I've been with Halo since it came out. Ever since it's been my favorite console series. Halo and Spyro on console. Pokemon on portable(although the console ones are sweet). I almost cried at the end of Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team. The real sad thing is I don't know why I almost did. XD

Re: Furries

you know, I relized as a furry I like anything that is an animal in games and such. I played an RPG on my 360 a few years back called Phantasy Star Universe. there is a race called Beasts and they have an animal-like face and animal ears and change into a very tall anthro cat-like creature. I would only use them. I tried using other races but I just couldn't.

I even like things that arn't even animals. example being I have been playing ALOT of Left 4 Dead 2. and I adore the Hunter zombies because they are actually animal-like. they use stealth and crawl on all fours, they have long nails that act like claws, they pounce on their foes, and they even growl and snarl. I also like them because the hoodie makes them mysterious and I like that kind of stuff too.

[edit]

same thing goes for WoW. I can only play as hunters and druids

Re: Furries

Hey guys, I just read something cool in the Guinness Book Of World Records 2008. Anthrocon is currently the biggest furry fan club world wide. Also if terminology serves them correctly, then technically this thread could be called a confurence. Or a gathering of furries.

Re: Furries

Well the people who own Wikipedia make sure its correct. Its just a general definition. The fandom has Otherkin, therians etc in it anyway. You said you know people like that who disassociate themselves from the fandom. Who cares? Thats them. We all view the world in a different fashion. Want proof? Go into any given store on any given day and just look at people. Its hilarious. You don't look in the mirror and see what I see, or what anyone else see's. We all see it differently. Which by the way is astronomically cool.

Yeah FurCon may tolerate idiotic behavior, but Anthrocon has zero tolerance. And with them being the biggest, thats a good thing.
