Re: Furries
No, I'm not talking about right now; my comment was implying a future job you might have. It would be hilarious to see elementary school staff teachers attempt to hire a kid to do mascot work.

Re: Furries
Here in America a kid usually is the mascot. A student is at high schools. those are the only places with mascots that I know now. I think Im gonna go into video game development.Or the military. I don't know yet.

Re: Furries
the fandom is acttualy made up of a lot of prefessional mascots. My school mascot is an eagle and one of the students in my barrack is the mascot. funny story; when he first got the job he ran around the barrack doing stupid things. he ran into my room and started doing the party boy. it was hilarious to watch.

Re: Furries
Okay, so. How come nobody told me there was a furries topic? <.< I feel betrayed. Anyhow, yeah, I'm a furry, been one in technicality for around 2 years, only knew about the fandom for 1.
The stereotype of furries, unfortunately, is only given by a small number of them, compared to the full number in the fandom, but this number happen to be the most accessible and reffered to. It's a sad fact, but yes, calling oneself a "Furry" does induce negative effects to most. Most just call themselves that for the ease of saying rather than describing themselves and have someone else label them. >.>
MOST furries you talk to find that games like Ratchet and Clank, Spyro, and the like are furry games, but in fact, are not. If they were called furry games, then any movie about animals could be called a furry movie. This is the truth of the matter, though I'm probably gonna get yelled at by someone for saying it. xD
Sorry for the outdated arguments, but I'm just that kinda guy and I've been off the forum for a while.

Re: Furries
But I call movies with furries in them furry movies. Im not sure why people wouldn't. If it has furries as the main theme for any thing than it is furry. At least thats my opinion.

Re: Furries
Yeah. it makes sense. I do too. Honestly it dosent really matter.
I wish there were more war games that featured some furryness. The only one I can think of is Halo. Because Elites are technically furries. Being able to play as an Elite is awesome. To bad there aren't as many cool armor choices for Elites ![]()
Oh btw, does anyone seriously want me to post the setting for my war story thing? I could make it into an RP, and would like to if anyone wanted because I need more inspiration. Ego characters, story weapons etc etc. Its a futuristic war story. I really need to know. Im seeing if anyone on FurNation wants me to and if someone here wants me to do it here instead then just let me know. It goes to who ever asks first. hahahahaaha

Re: Furries
I heard that Fantastic Mr.Fox was a little self indulgent. and that the visuals weren't very different scene to scene. (what no comment about my RP?? XD)
To late for my RP fellas. Its on FurNation now. Oh well.

Re: Furries
Are the guardians those fur things also? They look like they
have scales or something similar to scales.

Re: Furries
No. The Guardians are just whatever kills you that the game does not know what to blame on, like towers that kill you when you go outside the map boundaries. Unless you mean the Forerunners, they are humans. Elites are a cross between werewolves and lizards. They rule.

What I usually consider "furries" are animals standing like humans, with human objects, and human clothing...etc.
I wouldn't really consider Spyro or the guardians as "furries". Armor and stuff doesn't really count I don't think...
Everyone knows I only eat Cynder fangirls.

Re: Furries
The definition of an anthropomorphic animal is an animal that has been given human characteristics. I think that includes Inteligence of that level and the ability to talk. So yes the guardians, Hunter and everyone else of Avalar, and every dragon in the game is a furry (technicaly).

Re: Furries
Uh, no. I've been to a furry convention because I was a guest panelist and yeah - there's a LOT of sex. A lot. "A lot" is an understatement of the amount of adult/mature media and sexual overtones that were exhibited there. The dealer's room is basically a place to buy various adult artwork or products (Bad Dragon has a booth at every single convention now, personal vendetta aside).
I was also invited to several room parties while I was there, I only went to a couple that I knew were hosted by civilized people, and it's quite unnerving to walk down hotel corridors and literally see 90% of the doors with "DO NOT DISTURB" signs covered in various little furry doodles.
And the animal noises coming from them. Dear god I hope someone was just doing really good impressions, because I saw people at the convention with dogs - and no they were not blind.
I'm new to the fandom and in it simply because I'm of a rare few who just like animals
I had an idea that furry conventions were a bit dodgy and, as a friend had said 'rather touchy feely', but I didn't know it went that far...
that was horrible to have to find out but I'm glad I did... o_o -still getting used to the whole 'do not disturb' hotel room thing and especially the animal noises coming from the rooms...- .______.
