Thoughts of the 2000s decade

This decade was alright but it could be better.

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

I'm not old enough to remember much of the 90s, so I don't really have much to compare this decade to. It's like asking me how the second half of my life has gone. tongue

It was alright I guess.

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

80s: obviously don't remember it; only lived through two years of it
90s: a lot of childhood memories here
2ks: I would have to say that in general I'm enjoying my life more and more.

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

I did not:
-Balloon Boy
-*cough* George Bush *coughcough*
-Poor Economy
-Poor Job Rates
-Worst Hurricanes (e.g. Katrina, Ivan & Wilma)
-Michael Jackson, Brittney Murphy, Billy Mays, and Farrah Faucet died.
-People blabbing about "2012"
-Youtube was created
-Worst videosgames (after 2004, which is more than half of the decade)
-Music is becoming stupid

The ONLY thing I like about this decade is, Lady Gaga, thank you sir and have a good day! *runs out with my cardboard version of Lady Gaga*

George Bush was halarios xD. Why is Youtube bad? There are some great video games past 2004 and you're complaining about bad music yet like Lady Gaga xD

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

Hey guys, did anyone notice how skewed the poll choices are? Only one choice is truly positive, with the rest being neutral or negative, and many choices meaning really the same thing (it was alright = so-so). There's hardly anything on the positive end of the spectrum, heh.

Amen to that answer  wink

I personally liked this decade, but what I hated were George Bush, the bad economy, all the celebrities like Billy Mays, Farrah Faucet, Michael Jackson, and Brittany Murphy dying. And everytime I heard about the disaster in Haiti, I cannot stop crying.

Yeah, like the idiocy of people.

Why do I think the poll is stupid? Its pretty much having a bunch of choices that are simply synonyms of a word or even math equations that lead to one answer.

I second that - sorta. I love some modern music and ADORE Take That, but they were around in the ninties so that might be why.

However, I hate club music.

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

I think it's cool most of us got to live to not only witness the end of one century and the begining of another, which already isn't something everyone can say, but we also got to witness the end and the beginning of two separate milleniums. That happens only once a 1000 years, which I think is pretty sweet. Personally I thought the 2000's decade was pretty cool. I was not a fan of 2009, but as a whole I liked it. I mean, like it or not, the 2000's is a big part of our lives. It was far from perfect, but that's life. If I could go back an do it again I totally would. Partly beacuse I'd like to change certain decisions I made, and partly just for the fun of experiencing it again... lmao... XD

Re: Thoughts of the 2000s decade

I'll bet that half of the people who say that the 90s were an improvement over the 2000s is really just yearning for the "good old days" and not really seeing what accomplishments we've made in the past decade. Reliving the past is entirely different from "improvement" in a technical aspect.
