"You obey no one's orders except mine!" Ulkna barked at Zeel angrily.

Your eyes... your gaze is in range of that dragon's torso isn't it? Go on. Rip the b*****d in half. ((He's talking about Aurgal.))

I can't! Ulkna screamed at the voice. He's... His eyes. They are so--"

Kill him! The voice yelled. It said it over and over again. Ulkna groaned and collapsed on the ground, covering his head with his paws.

Leave me be! He cried *EDIT* as the male dragon countered his gash once more. He tried not to scream and tried to roll out of the way. As he did, he realised intense shockwaves to distract the dragon so he could attack back.

Ulkna lost it. He roared and lunged at the dragoness, tackling her roughly. "You're just asking to die aren't you? I can arrange that. Hold still." He sneered, glaring at her neck.

The pain in Ulkna's left side had become excruciating. So painful he couldn't even scream. He simply grunted swear words as his back legs collapsed underneath him. He glared at the male dragon and cried out in rage. He tried to stand but the pain was too much.

"I swear... if you were just a normal dragon, by now I would've had the pleasure of watching your head roll across the floor. But you are certainly not just an ordinary dragon." He growled at the male dragon. "Your sister on the other hand... Well let's just say you'd better keep a close watch on her. Turning your back could prove fatal to her." He sneered.

"I shall leave now, but know that we will cross paths again. And when that time comes..." He crawled over to the male and put his head close, glaring straight into his eyes. "...I will have recovered, and I shall NOT show any mercy. Remember that. Farewell for now."

Ulkna groaned and slowly raised his legs, cried out, and lowered them again. Gah! In this state I can't even take off! Using his front legs he dragged himself away. He looked at Colum and Zeel. "You two. Come with me. Don't think I've finished with you yet."

As he slowly dragged himself down the Warfang street, a quiet, chilling voice came to his head. You fool. You stupid, arrogant fool. The voice said.

Well, that was one heck of a battle.
Link had been looking carefully from the top of a small building. Now that's what I call a fight. The Enemy must be exhausted... No, Link. Don't even think about it. He had promised himself to be more carefull and just observe what's going on. He wanted to change from an attacker to a defender. This bow is useless unless I hide to shoot OR join someone.

He saw the dark Dragon wander through the street, like a miserable, half-empty doll. The feeling of loading his bow and shoot at the enemy was intensive. Almost irresistable. He had a second chance, but did nothing. Instead of that, he observed the rest. A bond between Dragons and humans. You rarely see that. I guess that Dragon [[Zeel]] has actually chosen a master. Weird, but maybe there's a good reason to do so. He then looked at Aurgal. Ah. The two I drove away. Maybe I must apologize. The Dragon I saved was such a fool. He realized that the risk of getting attacked by the two was bigger than the chance of dying by the weakened Ulkna. But he felt too sorry to not do it. He actually liked the two. They fought well and know what they're doing. I must. Let's go.

He landed out of sight and carefully approached Aurgal and Aura. He was nervous, but didn't show anything of it. "Good fighting there." He didn't know how to chose his words at first, but then said: "I...I'm sorry for blocking you from fighting that Dragon in the forest. I shouldn't have interrupted you. I was foolish." He hoped they would accept his apology. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

"His arrogance will be his death." Aurgal said as Aura rose to her claws. They looked very bad, he guessed. "Nice acting a pitiful role. Now he assumes that I am the stronger..." He then noticed Link. When Link appologized, he growled. "Perhaps you may not be entirely useless. I knew that brat meant death as soon as I saw him."

Aura nodded in agreement, her blood clotting a bit.

Link expected something more kind, but he knew the two were naturally rude. "Thanks. Can I go with you? I've been alone now for a very long time... I have a bow."

After that he looked at Zeel. "May I ask who you are and who that human is? I guess he's with you. It looks like you haven't seen daylight for a long time, like me."

Jun eyes opened quickly. She suddenly took deep, refreshing breaths. "What..The..Hell...Happended?" she said between breaths. She rolled over to get up and heard a sound of paper. She got up and saw parchment sticking out of a pile of hay. She frowned lightly and rolled it out and started to read it. When she finished she felt heart broken . "Why would he leave me?" she asked herself. She started to think about what to do. "I guess I should find this..um Dragon or human that saved me." She muttered as she started to rip the parchment into pieces and then jumped of the building she was on and looked down the street, hidden in the shadows. She heard voices up a head and moved close to hear but still in hidden. She wanted to know what was going on.

He was happy that he finnally found some guys to "help", or whatever he could do. He smiled a bit. "Say, have you guys seen an orange Dragon somewhere near the spire? I found an orange one near the palace and protected her for a while... I want to know if she's OK...."

Ulkna didn't even bother to see if Zeel and Colum where behind him. He had stopped caring. All he was worried about was the throbbing pain that seemed to pulse through every inch of him. The bleeding had originally stopped thanks to Colum's meddling, but since the dragon had continuously tackled it, there was now a fresh trail of blood following him.

His back legs weren't much better either. Every time he tried to raise them, they collapsed again. He had been dragging them behind him for some time. Exhausted, Ulkna's front legs gave in too and he collapsed on the ground. A new pool of blood formed underneath him.

A disadvantage of being immortal... He thought faintly, Is having to endure the worst pain imaginable, knowing that death will never come to take it all away...

As his vision blurred, he thought, I wish I could just die. At that, his vision faded and he felt nothing.

He was alone.

Faly followed Ulkna's voice. Not out of fear or respect, but out of sheer and blind instinct. He was being called somewhere, and he was distracted, thus his feet carried him wile everything else about his person concentraited on his freshest problem. He had forgotten how to end his ignition spell. His hand constntly gathered flames from the surrounding air. The only thing that had kept him from incineration was his constant snapping of fingers to rid himslef of the flame.

What would happen is the young man would snap his fingers and aim at the sky (to avoid burning a section of the town) about five times. Then he would completly stop walking after Ulkna, begin to mutter a counterspell (calling up a small amount of rain around him) and end up bungling it because he had to remove the quickly gathering flames.

It was in one of these moments of stillness and concentration that Faly spotted her. She was a small orange dragon standing at the end of an ally way, she was very flimmilar, "The monk..." muttered Faly, as he snapped his fingers again, not looking where his fingers were pointing. As such, a small ball of flame spittered off behind him to where he thought Zeel was. The other made a b-line for the hind quters of Ulkna.

Zeel was busy at the time. He was thinking about the whole battle and the end result. This dragon may be tough, he thought, but he's certainly not invincible. Something I should remember if I ever have to kill him... In his thought process, he didn't notice the fireball headed towards him and ended up getting hit by it in the arm. He didn't really notice the fireball, but felt the burning sensation that came from it.

"Ow! That burns!" he exclaimed. "Who did that?!"

(OOC sorry, caught up in finals week. My free hours have been reduced to the point of negatives)

Faly took a moment to gaze at the orange beast, feeling the ghost of the odd sensation that made his feel so off put before. This continued untill the other sensation that was acting on his body too a hold on his mind, the sensation of one's limb being burned.

Uttering a soft curse word, snapping his fingers, and wispering a few well thought out words of cold, Faly felt his hand freed from the grasp of the flames. Looking about as if expecting a croud to be chanting his name due to his quick thinking, Faly noticed the crumpled form of Ulkna resting on the ground. More then a little confused, the young man went in for a closer inspection.

He followed the trail of blood leading to the dragon thinking, "Danmed lizard, can't guard himself to save... well himself!" Faly squatted at the beast's flank and looked over the wound. "The clotting is ovisely shattered," he began," looks more like blunt force ripped the skin back apart. Mr. Biotic dragon aslo seems to have made the cut wider," sputtered Faly as he ran a finger the legenth of the wound, as if running a finger along a blade, "'course there is alot of brusing and internal bleeding. Not much can be done about that..."

The young man rose to his feet and jogged the legenth of Ulkna's body, stopping at the dragon's cheek. A quick glance told Faly that the dragon was not going to be easly spoken to, his body was losing too much blood for it to render itself conscious. Other option was to try and intrude on the dragon's mind. "Not a bad option. His body is on the fritz and his mind is conserving energy. If he wanted to kill me, I don't think he would have the ability.

The young man nkeeled and began to pet the large, dark dragon's muzzle as he called to Zeel, making an audiable order to come to him. As he cryed out for Zeel, Faly attempted to contact Ulkna in a mental relm, it was in that moment that he realised that he did not know Ulkna's name in the slightest. "Sir?" he thought, "Sir? Can you hear me? It's Falyindin."

Ulkna saw nothing but blackness. He heard nothing but an eerie silence. Suddenly, a light formed underneath his feet. This light was all he could see, everything else was just dark, blank space.

Ulkna stood up and looked around, not like there was much to look at. ...Am I dead? He thought confused.

You're halfway there. Came a chilling voice. But you know you can never enter the spirit realm. You are in a bad way, but you shall return soon.

Ulkna snarled and crouched at the all familiar voice. "Come on then." He growled. "Show yourself. Who are you?"

You assumed that I was nothing more than your conscience, am I right? The voice that told you to kill. Wrong. I am much more real than conscience, my friend.

"I knew it!" Ulkna yelled. "I knew you were more. You have tormented me every day of my life!"

I did for a good reason. The voice said. Normally, I would never need to interfere with the mind of a killer, but you are a remarkable exception.

"What do you mean?"

I am you. The voice said. You are a creature created from darkness and evil, I am right? Those fools wanted a pure dragon, one who was all powerful and could destroy any evil. Bah! What the world needed was a challenge. Something to destroy the balance. That's where I intervened. That's where you came to exist.

"I know how I came about!" Ulkna snapped. "Don't give me that! Just tell me who you are."

I have. I am you, like I said. Your soul is made up of killer instincts. Murdering is all you know. You were built to kill. To destroy. I am the one who brought that about.

"Stop talking bulls***!" Ulkna growled.

Isn't it obvious? However, before today, you automatically obeyed my every command without even knowing I was there. Yet, you have disobeyed me several times today. That is not acceptable. As a result--

"YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Ulkna bellowed.

Calm, Ulkna. As a result, you have suffered a terrible injury. You have been deceived by the human boy. Your wound has been worsened thanks to that red dragon and his sister. Correct?

Ulkna had nothing to say. He knew that he was right, yet he didn't like to admit it.

I told you to kill all of them, didn't I? And yet you didn't. Therefore you have to cope with the consequences.

"I'll god d@mn kill the one who gave me the scar!" Ulkna growled. "Tell me, where is he?"

I govern only you. The voice said. But I do know that Link is more powerful than he looks.

"So THAT'S his name... I'll kill him."

You may, but be wary. Also Aurgal and his twin Aura. Be careful of them too."

"Should it not be the other way round?"

Yes, but due to your arrogance, that's the way it's become.

Ulkna knew when he was defeated. "Let me go back."

Very well. The voice said. Help is nearby. Just try to figure out your friends from your foes. We shall speak again soon. For now, farewell.

The light underneath Ulkna's feet faded and again he saw nothing but blackness. Suddenly, it felt like something was pulling him away. He did not resist.

A faint, barely audible voice echoed in his head. Sir? Sir? Can you hear me? It's Falyindin.

Ulkna found it an effort even to use his mind. He felt around for a presence and suddenly touched the mind of someone. Sir? Sir? Can you hear me? It's Falyindin. The voice echoed again, louder and clearer this time. He recognised it.

...I hear you. He replied weakly.

Slinx was flying over forests and rivers. Ahead he say a light flashing back at him. "Whats that over there?" He asked himself. He took course to the light to see what lies ahead.

After flying for a few minutes he found a civilization, Warfang. He flew down at the outskirts of the city and continued on foot.

OOC: Slinx is still visible. only a few miles away.

Faly smile as he heard the dragon's soft words echo in this mind. It was a small ray of joy, a bit of happyness. The fact the Ulkna was not dead ment Faly had another chance to work on a puzzle. To continue the game of mearly being alive around this gigantic beast. Every moment was excyting and a challange, a gambit, a roll of the dice. One moment a freefalling from a tower, next halting the progress of an infection from causing a limb to be amputated. He was livving the way he hand envisioned long agao when he first was offered to be tutored.

"Good, stay still. I'll see what I can do about this leg and your blood problem." said Colum, as he turned to hunt down Zeel. He picked up speed then skidded to a stop, asking, "In theroy, is it possable for you to get sick from transfusion?"

"ZEEL!" hollored Colum, "WHERE ARE YOU? I NEED YOUR HELP FOR A MOMENT!" the boy turned about and fixed his eyes on the very ugly scar, muttering, "And after we're finished here you can go back to being a pain in the *bleep* to find."

Listen to me. I want you to do something for me. Go to the palace and explain what's happened. Lead them here. That's all I ask of you. Ulkna sighed. But before you go, answer me this, and be truthful. When you look at me, do you see me as a friend or a foe?
