AG is one of my favorite artists at the moment, he's in Circa Survive and The Sound of Animals Fighting, along with his own solo project, and has also appeared in Saosin, Good Old War, and Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer. C:

My all time favorite artists are Aiden, AFI, Placebo, Alesana, Ludo, Blaqk Audio, Eye Alaska, Dashboard Confessional, etc...

Usually I think of the word "teeny bop" as to describe people that like overrated pop bands like Paramore and infest their lives with the Twilight fad

Trying to start making music again with my trusty Reason...but I can't start until my order on a new midi usb converter comes in. I need it to connect my keyboard to my laptop. My old one isn't compatible with Vista, which is what I have now, which is why I need to get a new cable that's compatible.

How about you tell us what kind of music you listen to instead of judging people by their music preferences, Swaffy.

Personally I don't really care what band or what genre I'm listening to as long as I like the song. But I refuse to listen to Miley Cyrus or any other Disney Channel star. All their songs are annoying anyway, so it's not much of a sacrifice. tongue

Me too. Mostly metal and some rock. Favourite bands at the moment are Nightwish (duh!), Epica, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and one or two more.

Mine favorite metal Bands are Blind Guradian, Amorphis and Suidakra.

I also love Ayreon and I love to listen to Mastodon or Meshuggah from time to time...

When it some to rock I mostly listen to some old Serbian bands that nobody heard so I'm not going to bother to list them big_smile

I take it nobody here really listens to Nine Inch Nails (Their best song: Echoplex), but if you're ever in the mood for some great industrial, NIN is the way to go. Probably the best post hard-core band I can mention off the top of my head has ta be... Underoath (Desperate Times Deperate Measures). Now, for all those Metalheads out there, I'd reccomend August Burns Red, A7x, Trivium, System of a Down (sort of metal. Sometimes it's too poppy for my taste, but once again, it depends on my mood), or even Devil Wears Prada.

I found a band called "For Today" if anybody is interested. They seem like
the type of music you might like.

My favorite song from them is Benedictus (Song of Zechariah).

This I can agree on
I listen to almost everything
from Alesana to James Blunt to Beyonce to old school AFI

So I like almost everything I hear but I do have favorites
And I refuse to listen to (modern day) Disney music

@Chryokinesis: EVERYONE should know NIN! They're one of the most influential electronica bands!
My favorite electronica groups would have to be Wolfsheim/Peter Heppner (the electronica king, IMO), Seabound, William Control, and Blaqk Audio.

Nobody quotes Good Charlotte ? Well , that's the band I'm listening the most , recently. I also listen to Apocaliptika , KYO , Linkin Park (Who doesn't ?) , OST from some games (mostly FF , piano , and KH2 recently) , Subsonic , Rammstein (who expected that from a French ?) , Jimmy Eat World (two famous songs only) , My Chemical Romance , Dragonforce , Avenged Sevenfold , Evanescence , Nightwish... Let's stop here , that's enough examples , I like to listen to a wide variety of music , to sum up.
