Contest #1 + Intro

Hey all. Since Spyro hasn't put any contests up for ages and i think contests are a fun way to interact with the forums community I got permission from RDX to start these things up again! These Contests Will Be Spyro Based! Mods may enter as well, But I will not.*They all wont be inculdeing LOS Characters or the series itself. I will use the calssical and other games for contests as well* I will be donating my own gems to the top 3 winners for each winner. I have a rough estimate toward how much each goes for. If the contest requires picture drawing it would have a medium to high, a little "Come up with your own lines/ slogans" or shorties will have less gems awarded. Such scoring as:

First place-
Low level Contest: 150-300
Med level Contest: 300-500
High level Contest: 500-1000

Second Place-
Low Level Contest: 100-250
Med Level Contest: 250-400
High Level Contest: 400-800

Third Place-
Low Level Contest: 75-200
Med Level Contest: 200-300
High Level Contest: 375-725

On the High Level Contests there will be a running up of 5 other people Which will earn 150 Gems. On each Contest I will state the amount of Gems for each place and What Level it is. With out any Further Adu...

CONTEST #1

Level: High *Just to get some gems out there in the Spyro Forums Economy*

End: December 31st, 2009 I will accept late ones only till January 2, 2010.

1st- 1000Gems
2nd- 800Gems
3rd- 750Gems
Next 5 Runners up- 150Gems

Your Goal is to write a Short Story about an adventure pertaining Spyro, Ember, Cynder, Flame, and Sparx at a "Holiday" Party. Write about what happenes at the party. You should have some dialog,and you can have a serious or comical story. You can have anything happen so long as it is appropriate.

Try to stay away from a pure religious theme and keep it something that is for every one. Even a random person from Antarctica wouldn't mind reading. Keep it PG Rated which means no Adult like stuff and no talk of graphical fighting. Little arguments and bickering is fine and maybe some pushing but no Super anime like fight scenes. No inappropriate language. This can be any length, but the longer the better big_smile Try to keep it from being Novel length though. In other words MAKE THIS SOMETING YOU COULD SHOW YOUR GRANDMA

Just PM Me the Story but make sure you post stateing you ae entering ahead of time.

Please post if you will be partaking in this contest so i have an idea on how many and about how long it will take to judge all them. I may also ask a random person to decide between a few of the stories if i have ones that tie. And how i will decide is ill roll a dice for a random person who is signed in on the main page and ill Pm them and if they don't want to do that ill choose some ones else.

Please don't make them all TLoS as some of us only like the original series for the PS1.

They All wont, trust me. i know how some people hate TLOS Series, but i made this one so all the fans have to participate and if the TLOS bashes want to have a little comic mischief happenings to her nothing to bad like death then they can and the same for any other characters. I will be making some original Series ones as well. In fact the next contest was going to be a Valentines day one. And any characters are up to choose. Im trying to give some more free choice to alot of these. Like the story will be those characters, but you make the story, the valentines day one i haven't decided if it be a Choose your own characters and a little dialogue of how that would say on valentines day or a poster or anything.... All i know is i was gana have a valentines day one with any characters of your choice.

Spyro, Cynder, Sparx, Flame and Ember were bored and decided to go on holiday. So they got a brochure to see where to go.

"There, Autumn Plains," Ember said.
"No, I wanna to Tall Plains, not Autumn," Sparx snapped.
"Well, Spyro, what about you, mate?" Flame asked.
"Dunno, where Cynder wants to go."

"THERE!" Cynder shouted.
There. Otherwise called Misty Bog.

"So you had to listen to the evil she-dragon right?" Sparx puffed.
"Sparx, enjoy it for what it is...Sparx, no!" Spyro quickly slipped through his tongue.

"Is that a frogweed?" Cynder asked.
"No, but a plant that does eat things, like it once ate me, and I couldn't get out, I was getting mor cramped and cramped and then, a hole ripped and it turns out to be an attack frog releasing me. But I then sorted it out."

"Yeah, let's have some chicken," Flame said.

"May as well," Sparx tried to say in the plant.
Spyro hit the plant and saved Sparx.

"That teache syou not to call me an evil she-dragon anymore, eh?" Cynder soon requested to Sparx.

"Yeah, whatever she-dragon," Sparx replied.
"Flame, sort Sparx out, please."

And so Flame turned Sparx into a bigger lantern than he already was.

So they soon got a full refund and Red was at the desk. Ember, whowasn't really involved in the holiday, squished tiny Red and got the full refund from the new employee, coincidently named Hunter.

What a cool idea. I don't need any gems, but I might do this just for the fun of it. ^__^

Maybe we should PM you our entries though? So people don't start copying each other's ideas?

On the contrary, You still have time. Im takeing them up to January.... what ever date it was. Still have one one person enter, but still you can either get first or second. Try X3
