Colum held in a grin as he spoke, "Fair enough then,I won't make you kill mindlessly. But you will kill mindfully?" Colum let the grin though, "Hate to say it, but thats probalky gonna be our new line of work. Your owner is offering me a job in his army." Colum stroked the blue dragon's neck again, "Think you can stomic it?"

"Okay, so let me get this straight. You want me to kill for the same guy that put me in slavery in the first place, and would probably throw us all away for a few coins?" Zeel was rather amazed at Colum's decision. "Fine, I'll do it, if I really have to..."

Colum was slightly heartened by the dragon's words. Judging from what this dragon said abouut himself, Colum assumed that the dragon was one who belived in repaying one's debts. Also one who belived in loyality, and honesty. All the things Colum himself was not.

"What would you rather do?" Colum pressed Zeel again, "Answer one for what you would rather do for coin, and one for what you would do in your spare time." COlum leaned against the cold stone wall, "You know, what you do for fun."

"For money?" Colum repeated, as if asking a question, "I do all the jobs dragons like you don't!" he spoke with a grin, "And for fun? I probally do all the things you don't do for fun too!" Colum openly laughed.

The boy laughed untill he was sylent again. He watched an insect scamper across the ground. Eyes still locked on the bug, Colum said, "That brings me to my next question," began the boy, holding his stare on the insect, "have you left anyone special to you behind?" Colum then looked up at Zeel saying in a somewhat harsher tone, "don't tell me your family... everyone leaves them behind, that's the idea. You grow, you leave, you make more, they grow, they leave, you die. Simple cycle." he finished, wispering to himself, "least... it should be."

Ulkna groaned and was ready to rip the annoying dragoness' head off it's spine, but weariness took over him. "Bah! I can't be bothered with either of you. Haven't you got anything better to do other than spy on me? Go and get a life." He said spitefully, limping off.

Suddenly, as Ulkna thought about where Colum had gone, he remembered where the boy had run too. The blacksmith's. Ulkna turned and staggered back the way he came. He was walking a little better now, but his back legs were still a little weaker than the front ones, and the blood on the wound had hardened, making it stiff. But thankfully it was not as painful as it was before.

Heading to the blacksmith's he thought, I hope that boy is not as hasty as he looks...

Ulkna pushed the door open and shoved the guard out of the way. As he saw Colum with the blue dragon, rage infested him. At the top of a small flight of stairs, he leapt from top to bottom, trying to hide the pain as he landed in front of them.

"Well, glad to see that you two are already acquainted." He snarled, glaring at Colum, the mad glint in his eye. Seeing that the slave dragon had been freed, he turned, went back out the door, grabbed the guard by the tail and dragged him into the room. "Right then. What's going on?" He looked at Colum. "Who said you could choose your own you cheeky little bugger?"

Colum found himself looking at three dragons. The highly irritated Ulkna, a confused (yet slighly angry looking) guard, and the small Zeel (whom Colum was shure could come up with some reason to want him eviseratred). Panicing and feeling beads of sweat gather, Colum took an instinceive step back, only to feel cold stone press agaisnt his spine. Feeling fear creep into his mind and poison his thoughts, Colum covered his eyes with his hand. A feeble attempt to block out any thoughts of dismemberment.

Faly took a deep breath, thought on the situation, and dropped his hand. Sporting a small smile, the young man spoke in a calm, quiet voice that had a toouch of a soothing effect, "Rest easy," he began, "I ment no harm. I was mearly taking this dragon out of his confines to assess his abilites." Faly blinked and paused, then continued, "I noticed that this particular dragon," Faly jerked his thumb to indicate Zeel, "was weak in the arts of smithing and smelting. Instead of watching you have him killed for incompetence, I thought it more productive to give him a new "lease on life." Faly glanced at Zeel out of the corner of his eye, hopeing that he wouldn't blow his story, "As I'm shure you know, gratitude is a great motivater. This dragon in particular has much to be greatful for," said Faly, givving Zeel's lead rope a tug, "saved from the smithy AND instantanious death. I'm up for staking gold on his willingness to show his gratitude if givven a second chance." Faly muttered to himself in an undertone, "at least he danmed well better be."

He thrust his head agressively at the guard. "Same goes to you."

"Ehhh... it's not like he was taking a good slave" said the guard. He was nervous, and did not know what to say, but he knew he was in trouble.

"Yeah, you probably have many slaves that are much more proficient in their field of work," added Zeel, "why does it matter that he picked me?"

"YOU IDIOT!" Ulkna screamed, psychically ripping the guard's left forelimb off. He fell to the floor crying out in agony. "If you think about it, you yourself are a slave. You have me as your master. You follow my orders. Slaves do that too. And why did you think you had the authority to do that?!" He yelled, stamping on the guard's stump.

He smirked and turned to Zeel. "To be honest, I never really knew you. To me, you were just another slave... Hang on. You were the one who was rude and cocky to me earlier, weren't you?" Ulkna snarled. "...Ah, I don't care. You'll only annoy me again. Do what you want."

Ulkna's eyes grew wide and psychotic. He span around and glared at the dragoness and her brother. "Do you even have a life? Clearly not." Ulkna breathed in short but deep breaths. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead and dripped to the ground. The voice was back.

Kill them all! They oppose you. That's not allowed, is it? Get rid of them, yes, even the human boy. They'll never bother you again. Go on, they won't feel a thing. After all... it's what you are built for. To kill.

Ulkna could stand it no longer. The trickery. The hate. The betrayal. He let out a long wail of both rage and sorrow, realising intense shockwaves into the room. He didn't aim for anyone in particular, just hoping that they'll penetrate anyone who was in their path.

((He's using torture.))

Ulkna ignored it and intensified the shockwaves. For some reason, he did not want to kill them. Instead, he felt they deserved a punishment. He roared and, while still releasing the shockwaves, tore the guard's other foreleg off.

Well... He can die. He betrayed me. Ulkna thought bitterly.

Zeel felt himself being ripped apart. The pain was intense, yet he wasn't taking serious injuries. Ahh... the pain! THE PAIN! he thought. It was all that came to mind at the time, besides the fact that Ulkna was sadistic for killing his own guard. "AHHH! ARGH! Ah... I must... resist..."

As the guard lay on the verge of death, in a pool of blood, with both of his front legs missing, Ulkna felt not remorse or regret, but satisfaction. A feeling of... he had achieved justice in some way. The guard was disobedient, traitorous and foolish. Such actions should be punished right?

Faly had been schooled in the art of mental combat long agao. He was trained in the ways of defending and counterattacking an assailant to his mental front. Educated with the goal of hiding one's thoughts from the rest of the universe.

It was something he never really grasped. A lighter area of his skills. Never one for mind games (where the objective was to kill one's opponent of corse, the young man lovved a good riddle). In the physical part of combat, when the boy was outmaned, out skilled, or outnumbered, he relyed on a varity of tricks. Stelth, sabatoge, trickery, entrapment,confusion, evesion, the list goes on. But mental warfare is a totally diffrent beast in every aspect.

Faly felt a blow strike him, like a cold, hard pillow smashing into his nose. The strike stunned him and made him feel like someone was covering his face with a blanket. Dazed, confused and stupified, the young man tryed to run away. To where he did not know, it was more an action, an imedite resopnce to a suprised mental attack of this magnitude. Before he had even began to move his legs in any sort of cordnated manner, Faly felt pain.

A dull pain, the kind one feels when a cap is placed on there head and it slowly gets smaller and smaller. A dull squeezing pain gripped Faly's skull, making him think that his skull was going to collapse.

In terror, the young man began to flee. In his clumsyness, he stumbled. An automatic responce from his body forced his legs to make large, slow steps in an attempte to regain his long gone balence. The young man found himself falling headlong into Ulkna.

Ulkna felt something smash into his left side - right where his gash was. The pain was intense, and he cried out in agony, ceasing the shockwaves. He got his breath back and glared down at the floor. Colum was there.

Then, Ulkna looked around. The guard lay motionless, his eyes wide open, and his breathing in short gasps. He didn't have long, Ulkna knew. Blood loss and shock combined was deadly. He knew that from watching it happen several times.

Still feeling nothing, Ulkna lowered his head and grabbed Colum by his clothes, picking him up off the ground. He beckoned Zeel to follow him, then made his way to the door without a word, shoving both twins out of the way as he passed them.

Once outside, he dropped Colum on the floor and looked at him blankly. "Explain, boy. What are your motives?"

"That was quick." Aurgal said as he turned to his sister, who was facign the ground. "You ok?" He asked worriedly as she looked at him with blood coming out of her mouth. She scratched something into the ground that made his eyes go wide.
