A Dark Age Dawns... (Please read warning in 1st post)

Slinx took to the skies in search of civilization again. Hopefully a bigger place. Still thinking about immortal dragons such as the ones he encountered earlier.

(Slinx will soon meet up in Warfang with everyone else so he won't be left behind wink )

"Don't worry yourself with needing to keep obedince," grinned Faly, waving his arm in a dismissing manner, "I'm shure I can come up with something. I may not be imposing, but I am somewhat crafty." Faly removed the pressre on the dragon's mind. As he did, he himself felt much lighter and much more springy. Although the effectes were somewhat expected as he had been mentally entraping a dragon of Ulkna's power. "I have been wishing for a... let's call it a "helper" for a very long time. began Faly,"and I think a dragon would be perfect. Flight for fast travle, good in a fight, strong, mentally capable," listed Faly,"and maybe even loyal... after some well needed," he made a sick, twisted grin that showed only malice,"training..." he finished, squinting his eyes as if relishing the thought of what he classified as "training".

Ulkna's mind felt a lot less heavy. His eyes no longer felt like someone was holding them closed. Slowly, he opened them and glanced to his left to Colum. He opened his mouth and tried to speak again. No luck. Grunting swear words, he lifted his head and looked sleepily at the human. Wow, you're persistent aren't you, human? I guess I underestimated you. How silly of me.

He groaned and slowly sat up. The wound still hurt but it felt a lot less straining. So... what you are saying... is that if I train you, you'll buy a slave off me? He groaned again and shook his head. You're really tiring you know that? May I ask: why would you want one of MY slaves? Why not someone else's? Ulkna glared at Colum. If you are plotting something, I will know eventually. Just watch your step kid.

Faly took a step back from the beast, givving it room to strech it's limbs. Knowing that he had just recived a weak version of a complament, he replyed, "You havn't underestamated me, its more like you just diddn't know what to expect." He sniffed, pulling back the excess snot and promtly swolloing it (a nasty habit one develops when they have no need of manners). The sun was sinking and the sky was growing dark at a dramatic speed. "Of corse it doesn't have to be one of your slaves. Only reason I'm asking you is because I havn't seen any others around." He rubbed the back of his neck, more in an effort to transfer heat then havving an itch. "You also seem to have enough to be able to spare one..." Faly finished in a halvehearted way.

Slinx flew for about three hours and finally saw a bigger place. He flew down to land. "I hope this place has somewhere i can go to." He thought as he landed. He was in Warfang.

Ulkna groaned again and shook his head. You're becoming a nuisance, boy. He growled. Slowly and carefully, he tried to stretch his back legs and stand up. His hind legs felt a lot weaker than the front ones, and they felt very stiff. But he finally managed to get to his feet, and he turned and got a first good look at the scar.

It was vertical, starting from his back and travelling down to halfway down his side. It was surprisingly thin, but quite deep and red. Ulkna grunted loudly. I'll kill the little cretin that did this! He yelled at Colum. I'll rip him limb from limb!

He calmed himself down and looked down at Colum. Too tired to argue further, he snapped, Argh! Alright then. If it'll shut you up, yes, you can have one!

Link felt happy and scared at the same time. Still shining through the dark night, he worried. That one I hit... is gonna kill me when cured... He tried to keep himself happy and ignore his worries, but it was hard. Still weird that there are not many enemies except... I wonder what will happen next. Am I the main target now? Guess so. That Dragon wants revenge, and I wreaked havoc...

He landed, finally, near a very small house in the forest, where he changed back to half-form. He illuminated the party of the forest, like he scared away the shadows. He knocked on the door, or something that was meant to be knocking. Nothing. He growled: "Hey, comet's here!" Then the door opened. He could enter. An orange Dragoness showed up from behind the door. "It's OK, Luna. It's just me."

Luna was a young merchant and blacksmith that lived deep inside the forest. Link knew here very well, since he got his weapons from her, when they were still non-magical. His old bow, which he also go from her, was stolen by someone. Also, Luna had a safe passage to the Underground, his underground.

Luna whispered, as they walked through the underground passage together: "Link... is that really you...?"
"Yes, it's me. I survived."
"I haven't seen you for a long time. How are you?"
"Physically, pretty well. Mentally, no."
"How...?"
"Long story."

They arrived in the underground valley, a hidden place where light shines through openings in the "roof" and where an underground waterfall flows. It had become Luna's home. In the corner there was an anvil, with a large hole in the roof to let the smoke out. Link told everything to Luna. How he thought to bring order, how he wandered through the underground, and, most important of all, how he wounded Ulkna. Luna understood his feelings. "Now... I can better hide. Therefore I need a new bow, Luna. Can you accept this?" Link threw a pouch full with gems to Luna. "It's not very much, but I hope you can do something with it." Luna accepted, and fetched a golden bow from an underground storage she made. "Take this. It'll do." she replied. "I don't know how much I can thank you, Luna. I gotta leave now, and fast, before anyone descovers I'm here. They will kill you."
"Bye... seeya soon...I hope..."
Link winked and walked towards the door.

(ooc, forgive me being lost but... why is "Link" getting the boot? Only mistake he's made is being a loner and somehow managing to evade every character that isn't aiming to end him...)

Faly felt a smile tickle the edge of his mouth. Not a false smile or malice or pain, but of real, wholesome joy. The young man pressed his palm to his nose, covering his eyes in darkness. Hf relished both the happyness he was feeling, and the knolage that he was going to have someone to spend his time with. Someone who would be with him through good times and bad. Someone to trust. Someone to confide in. Someone to care if he died. Even in all this newfound extisity, a dark, cold, unwanted thought came to Faly, "Because he has to..."

Colum dropped his hand, saying, "I'll be back in a moment! I gotta go get someone." Without another word, he sprinted off. Making his way to the blacksmith's. The going was much faster then his first trip in, no large masses of dragons, no terrable directions, no overwhelming distractions. His feet pitter pattered in a sporatic patteren oveer the dusty, vacant streets of the once bussling bazzar, the cool night air whistling in his ears.

Colum sprinted to the door and opened it, at least, he tryed to. The boy smashed into the wood, driving the breath from his lungs and causing him to slum over the door handle.
"It's... f***ing... locked?", he wheezed, feeling a trickle of blood on his upper lip (he could'nt tell if the lip was split or the nose was bleeding.).

After a few minets of gasping for air, Colum did the only thing he knew to do in the situation. He jammed his knife blade in the keyhole and twisted the knob. The lock gave a ungodly squeaking sound as it broke into many irripareable peices. Letting himself inside, Colum glanced about the inside of the shop. Not seeing anyone (or much of anything due to the pitch blackness of the unoccupied building), Colum began searching around for Zeel. It wasn't long before the theif came to the conclusion that the soon-to-be-his-dragon was not there. The boy was on his way out the broken door when he had a thought. Skitering back, the theif pulled a muzzle off one of the racks.

The muzzle was made for a dragon. In the front was a rather larde hole so the beast could exspell breath. A web of laces ran up both side of the muzzle, in an effort to make it a "one size fits all" muzzle. Near the top of it were two very large and sturdy brass buttons sewn into the leather, the buttons held two large reins in place, Colum guessed they were for leading the enslaved beast about.

Exiting the little blacksmith (closeing the door behind him, although it did little), Colum almost instantly saw what he was looking for. In an open air cage made of rows upon rows of thick, cold steel lay a large group of dragons. These dragons were all either in shackles, had leg bindings that tied them to a single bar of the cage, fully hog tied, or simply chained to the ceiling or sides of the pen. All of them had there wings furled or folded up behind ther backs by a metal bar that had a ring at each end. The ring peirced the dragons' wings, making flight impossable (save for the tearing of the dragons flesh and the luck that it isn't permantly too damaged to support the dragon.

"Zeel?", wispered Colum, peering about for the dragon, "Zeel, wake up!". No reply, he tryed a diffrent tactic, "Zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll, come out and play...", still nothing, but a few dragons had woken to his calling and were givving looks that ranged from confusion to hate, "Oh Zeel, where has thou hidden thyself?" asked Colum, adopting a very convencing accent that he had heard from travling traders.

I only named him after my nick, MrX-Link, since I also have someone called X in another RP. But I can understand people see my char as a reference to TLoZTP since I like the game very much, but believe me, I did not mean to do so... anyway, continue and have fun! (OOC Im still confused. The Zelda Link is human... and dark Link is... well a seperate entity in the 2 games (maybe 3?) he ever appeared in. Also, X-Link's Link talks! I've never heard Nineindo's link say anything other then "ahhhhhh" when falling or taking damage.

If that's how it's going then I have to drop my toon also. Colum is a rip off of Fire Emblem, hell I even ripped off the theif bit and the personality... forgive my post, if I must continue my petty complaints, I'll take it to PM.)

I declined him becuase I thought that he was TOO POWERFUL. I simply pointed out the Zelda things. And I have seen just about every part of the character somewhere before and thought it was really cliche. Why do people insist on copying other franchies, no one knows...*sighs*. This is why I almost never Rp here.)

Also, I believe he is not too strong or overpowered. When he was overpowered the RP had already ended. Tell me, why is he too powerfull? Why? Ulkna grunted as Colum suddenly ran off. He took a few slow steps forward out of the pool of his own blood. Cursing under his breath he thought, That dragon... I won't rest until he's dead. How dare he oppose me like that! He lowered his head and sighed, I'm not having any more of this... The whole reason I left ((The kingdom he destroyed in the past)) was so I could escape all the hate. I won't let one little dragon ruin that for me... He snarled.

Ulkna staggered along the empty Warfang streets. Chances are people had legged it when he crash landed. Whispering to himself, trying to bring his voice back, he spotted two red figures hiding behind a building. He recognised them immediately, and connected his mind with both of them at the same time. Oh look, it's the double act. He sneered. Come to watch the action? Get lost, this has nothing to do with you. He snapped.
