Here's mine; my screen resolution is weird so I can never find any good backgrounds and just made this crappy one on GIMP. ):
Hopefully getting Windows 7 soon with my student discount (:▼Hidden text
I actually have an app that I wrote that grabs new wallpaper from the internet all the time (nature themed wallpaper because thats what I like). Get something fresh every 20-30 minutes.
Yeah, with a student discount you can get it for $30, but if your still on that aspire one I would recommend you hold off until you buy a new laptop one day with windows 7 preinstalled. The aspire one that comes with xp only has 1gb of ram if I remember and it will be a little painful to run 7 on, you won't get the full experience.

There is a freeware program that does that. http://jamesgart.com/wallpaperchanger/

Re: Post your desktop
There are hundreds that do that. I don't see where it says it loads them online.
Theres a specific site I like the nature wallpapers from, so I made an app to download them when there are new ones put on the site. They don't have a proper rss feed, thats why I needed to do it custom.

Oh, that's cool. I get sick of whatever background I have every few days so I'm changing mine constantly.
Yeah, 1 GB. I downloaded and ran the upgrade advisor off their website and it said it met all the requirements, so I kind of just assumed it would all be good. >.>
I've kind of been thinking about getting a new laptop anyway because it's kind of a pain using Eclipse and GIMP on the small screen. And it doesn't have a CD drive. -.-

Yeah, if you get a new laptop then you get 7 with it. Thats what a lot of people do, just "upgrade" when they get their new pc.

I don't think you understand. I'm not looking for an application to do this, I don't need someone to find me one. Ive created what I needed already and I doubt any other application can pull wallpaper automatically from the feed I use because of the way they have it done. I don't doubt there are hundreds of applications for changing desktop wallpaper automatically, and I never said I did.

I have Vista. You can do it just fine. Just take a screenshot of your desktop and then upload it to a picture site like photoshack and then post it on the forum.
The reason I hate Vista is because I have to get the admin's approval for everything including istalling programs, that sort of thing never happened in XP. And I don't have Photoshack and I have a weird keyboard

Re: Post your desktop
Do you have a Print Screen key on your keyboard? Or PrtSc? Any thing like that? Just press that key, paste on MS Paint, save, and upload to tinypic; you don't need an account for that one.
You don't need any kind of special programs or anything to take screenshots.

Re: Post your desktop
On windows 7 theres a little "snipping tool", you just drag it over what area of the screen you want to save and it saves it for you.
Apoc: You can disable UAC in vista and windows 7, but in 7 you hardly ever get permission requests.

You can do something about that easily. I'm using Vista and I quickly had to do this, because it was indeed becoming annoying.
Control Panel --> Security --> Security Center --> Other Security Settings --> User Account Control --> OFF
So basically you want to disable the User Account Control. Then you won't have like a personal security officer at every click you make haha.
