Science is the practise of trying to find the truth about the nature of reality. As a result, mathematics could be thought of as the most "pure" science if one could accept mathematics as a science. Biology is less stable and less "pure" science, as it is often thought.

A good example of what science has discovered are the laws of thermodynamics.

How can you know what is reality or truth? You can't. Maybe everything we see is not there, like an illusion, therefore it's not reality and your science can't be applied properly. Also, what is "purity"? You can't say Biology is less pure since you are practically not knowing what you are discovering since we do not know if this world is this world.

Reality in this situation defined by the universe we experience. Since science is based on observation, it is by its nature, imperfect. I never said science was an easy battle. I sincerely doubt we live in a world that is entirely an illusion, but why should that matter? If we are in an illusion then science is merely a study of the nature of the illusion. It doesn't matter, as long as the illusion is stable, which it is, almost perfectly.

I think we do know this world is this world. I think that's the first law of logic. When I said biology was less pure, I meant it adheres to more complex patterns, and has a lot of anomalies.

Nope. It's a question for Philosophy.
If something's solved, is it really solved? Do we know EVERYTHING about it, is it totally solved, no more issues? No proof for that. You can talk like hours about that. The problem is that you will never know the real truth. We will never know everything, which is a sad fact.
