The Anti-Vampire League

I've set this up because
I'm sick of Vampires, My cat is sick of Vampires, Even the fictional charicters I've created are sick of Vampires (Dragons mostly, by the way).
And I wondered does anyone else hate them, or am I alone!?

Vampires ? True , they are overated , but they made great films at least sometimes.
(no , I'm not speaking of Twilight , I haven't even saw it (oh , and now that I've said that you're like : wtf ?!) , but heard of it anyways...).

^ I've never seen it either (don't hurt me!) but I can't believe that one film could have such an impact. It's practically taken over the mind of most teenage girls.

I have not seen it either, but I have read about cases where apparently (not saying whether it's true or not, mind you), Twilight fans hurt, or tried to hurt, people who said they didn't like Twilight. If true, that's just ridiculous...

vampires themselves are ok, and pretty cool.

now, those sparkling Abercrombie models from Twilight just ruined it.

I made vampiric character who is insane and tries to get blood from everything any way possible. That is a true Vampire, not the sparkle ones from Twilight. If they had at least retained the savageness or bloodthirstyness, then it would be amusing to see them sparkle while you run from your life.

but nope, she chucked that out the window.

anyway, I hate Meyer for ruining the vampire image and I am trying to revive it with said character.

It is, unfortunately, true. TwilightSucks has a whole archive of Fangirl Encounters that are proven to be fact, some of which involve injuries. -__-

If you ask me, that's even worse than hurting someone just because of what they believe in. It's only a book/movie (since I believe there's both books and a movie), it's not even worth fighting over... Seriously, are those people lacking in common sense or something?

Unfortunately, Twitards seem to outnumber sane fans on the internet. I've met lots of sane fans in real life, but never any Twitards. Kind of makes me wonder if they all just act sane in real life but then go on the internet and attack the OMG EVUL antis.

I think vampires are quite the apitimy of butt-whoppery, but in there givven state. The idea of a human who lives off of other humans blood, is vioently allergice to the sun, can shapshift into bats (in some storys) is something that sounds delightful.

But these things in Twilight are not vampires. The sparkly sun crap is the peak of the absuridity, poetic liscense canm only go so far (and I think Blade took the cake on peotice liscense)

I agree, Meyer really got the whole vampire thing wrong, I like vampires, but they are a dying breed they are being used to much. I like Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula and in Dracula: Dead and Loving It(that was funny). I also love Trinity Blood and Hellsing, those are also real vampires. The name used in Trinity Blood for the vampires is "Methuselah" which means "The Immortal". And the name for the humans is "Terran" which means "Of the Earth".

I do like Twilight, but I don't consider myself a fantard. This is mainly because I think Edward is a pessimistic git who needs to get the frig over it, Bella I want to slap stupid and Jacob I want to wedgie up a tree and tell him to get over his arrogant self.
I like the storyline mainly, as well as one or two of the characters, and I have no problem with the sparkly vampires point; they remind me of a venus fly-trap in a way. Though I do think it would have been better without the sparkling, just them looking, smelling and sounding drop-dead gorgeous was enough really...
I loved the vampires in Van Helsing the best though, and the ones in the Underworld series were awesome as well.

I'm so *bleep*ing tired of Twilight (go to hell, Edward Cullen!)!!! I had some girl drag me to go see it, and nearly died. I think I'm safe with the newest one.
