The Eye of the Storm

"Well that's nice. Now, try not to break anything. This isn't a "you break it you buy it" kind of store." Mull entered a house, similiar to the others except for the strange smell wafting from it's open door. She still hadn't asked what it was.

OOC: Purple smurple. Mull doesn't have an eye for colour.

Ophelia followed Mull into the house. It was dark and a sharp clanging could be heard from the next room. At the end of the corridor there was a large room with a fireplace and someone clanging on a piece of metal.

"Evening Misty." Mull spoke with a slightly tense voice. In all truth, Misty was the one person in this town Mull couldn't predict. She was the Brighella, strictly speaking she had no serious power, and yet you just knew that if the entire town went to hell, heck, if the whole planet was warped till it cracked, Misty would still be here, doing whatever it was she did.
"Mull. Hear you been making trouble. Would appreciate a little warning next time you pull something like that."
Of course, Misty wasn't the sort to be late on current events.
"I'm sorry, but hey, I'll be out of your hair soon. I'm just hoping to buy a few things and scram."
Misty sighed and rang a little bell, probably summoning a staff member or two.

A female blacksmith? Ophelia thought, slightly surprised. She gave Misty a small shy smile. "Hi. How are you?" She said shyly.

Misty stared rather impassively at the dragon in front of her, "New in town and already Mull's roped you into something no doubt. Name?"

"I take offence! This lot just followed me home!" Mull exclaimed in a half-serious voice. Two young lads entered, both with little clipboards and thoroughly disapproving looks. Misty pointed at Mull, and one of the clipboarders handed his little list to Mull. It was a list of questionably legal items. Mull handed the list to Ophelia with a thoughtful look. "You got any maps of the government buildings in the capital?"

Ophelia examined the list Mull had given her. They were fairly standard items, but she wondered, Has Mull got enough gold to buy all this? I have none! When Mull asked about the government buildings, she rose her head and listened closely.

"I'm afraid not. Although, I do know where you can find one. A friend of my lives in Warfang. I can give you his adress if you deliver a little package to him." Mull made a vague gestures to one of the clipboarders, who dissapeared into a room and returned with a tightly wrapped package.
"Gotcha, the adress is on the package?"
"Correct."
"Well then, hope to see you soon." Mull slung the package over her back and turned to the door with an amiable nod.

"Wow... Warfang." Ophelia had heard of the huge city, that was as big as, if not bigger than Cindran. She could remember flying over it when she was a teenager. She dared not enter though. Her kind - the wild kind - were looked down upon by high society.

She smiled at Misty and the two clipboarders and then followed Mull outside. "Um... Are we coming too?" She asked shyly.

"As long as you can input something useful, I don't mind. If I manage to do what I plan, I can probably seize power over this town. Do you think that would be a good thing?"

"Good answer." Mull stepped out into the street and nudged Vist, "I need you to watch our backs," she whispered, "They stop looking, stomp once, someone follows, stomp twice, you get caught, stomp thrice." Mull headed on. What a "coincidence" that they had a package for the guy at the time they arrived. Coincidence my *bleep*, she thought. Just one thing after the other.

"Wait. It's past midnight. Shouldn't we rest somewhere. Not here, in the forest perhaps?" Ophelia suggested shyly, yawning.

"No, there's no time. We have to get clear of the city." Mull approached the open gates and tried to give the impression that a search was really not necessary.

Ophelia frowned, her eyes heavy. Several rough looking guards glared at them as they passed through the gates. She looked straight ahead, hoping they would not speak to her.

Still no stomps. Mull began to sweat. They cleared the gates. They weren't fed enough to search every package that turned up. Thank the lack of minimum wage, thought Mull. But where was the stomp?

OOC: "They" refers to Misty's "employees". Basically you choose whether they simply stop looking, someone tails us, or you get found. It's really not that hard, dearie.
