HAAHAHAHA

i mean spyro only does what he's told!

ignitus: save the world young dragon
spyro: yes master

cynder: let it go
spyro: yes dear

sparx: get me a cappucino with no froth and chocolate sprinkles
spyro: i live to serve

i liked his bad-as* attitude in the original games

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

I partly agree

yes, by the end of the game, it was pretty much all about Spyro

given the circumstances, Spyro is a far greater dragon "as far as achievement goes"

Cynder didn't actually start achieving anything till the end of Eternal Nights, Where she rescues Spyro from that Dark light that unvailed Spyro's darker side.

Thus, this is why Spyro gets alot more recognition "from a logical stand point"

of course, that's just a theory, take it as you see fit.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Oh, that's right. Spyro and Cynder just beat him up until some ghosts came and pushed him into a floating chunk of rock.
I forgot.
He was probably hailed as a hero when he got back, anyways.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

yeah but the game is called Spyro: dawn of the Dragon. Not Spyro and sparx and Cynder does it? but he does get all the cerdit. even in this game u get to play as Cynder so if you finished as in the game you should get to see her version of the end.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

That doesn't mean the others should be treated like crap now does it, I thank that they should all have the same amount of respect for each other. Also in DOTD Cynder played a big part with Spyro but still she got no more atention from the others than she already had, even Sparx and he wittnesed it all. I think that when they make this upcoming Spyro game they should make it to were everyone has an extremly important part like Spyro does in every one of them. But thats all up to them, we cant make them chang anything it's there game let them do what they like but there not making him any more popular than he already is. But thats not going to keep me from the games or anything else like that. smile

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Spyro doesn't seek the attention; it's thrust on him. In this branch of the Spyro series he's considerably more modest than he was towards the end of the original branch. Like in A Hero's Tail, when he said "Well, I'm gonna be saving the world anyway." He was entirely sure of himself before anything remarkable actually happened.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

I assume most of the dragons are one of the following:

1)lazy
2)cowards
3)both coward and lazy
4)not aware of their abilities
5)severely limited in numbers due to the war and attempt to conserve it

I would think either 2 or 5 is a reasonable answer.

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

And let me point you back to my previous statement: he doesn't seek attention, glory or fame. He does what he thinks and knows is right for the sake of it. Others merely acknowledge him. Being the one everyone depends upon is a great burden, and it's not something Spyro asked for or sought out.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Again, that's still not his fault. Perhaps it's because they're still not entirely certain if Cynder can be completely trusted. Especially after what Malefor said before his confrontation with Spyro and Cynder: "How she tricked you. How she lured you to the Well of Souls." Malefor was most likely lying, trying to discourage Spyro and Cynder, but it will still sow the seeds of dissent and doubt.

And Spyro can't control what they say and do. He has no control over anyone else's actions, thoughts, or spoken words. So to say he is 'attention seeking' is false.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Aww..Yeah, Sparx and Cynder helped too =/
But yeh, the game is called The legend of SPYRO and not The legend of Spyro, Cynder and Sparx..Spyro is and always will be the main character of the game, so yeh..That might be the reason why they found him more important to worry about...

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Well I think one of the main reasons there all worrying about him is probably they knew him longer and he's the purple dragon. he's got that whole super power big legend thing going on.... I guess.

But yeah I wish the would even out there attetion spands a bit!

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Just because he's the legendary purple dragon of the prophecy. Otherwise no one who care, and Ignitus wouldn't have made sure that he of all baby dragons didn't get smashed.

That's why I hate it when writers rely on a stupid prophecy.
It doesn't leave much room for anything else.

Re: attention seeking purple dragon!

Yeah, but in DotD, when they have to get the key off the Hermit in The Valley of Avalar, when the hermit asks "Why have you returned here", Spyro immediatley jumps in with "I haven't been here before", without a prompt, when he was actually referring to Cynder, when she was evil. So maybe he does crave the attention?

But everyone still loves him regardless (including me), so it doesn't matter anyway.

First impressions aren't my strong point, nor are second or third. It takes a while, but people start to like me, eventually.
