"Didn't you see what he was doing?!" Ophelia cried angrily at Mull. "He was wrecking their lovely little home! I couldn't let him. These people helped me!" She suddenly thrust her head at Mull aggressively. "No, I don't think violence solves everything! In fact I despise it. I was just trying to protect the people."

"And how do you suggest he searches? Or should have searched. I doubt he's going to be doing much searching now." Mull looked at his face and winced, "It's Jalob. He has a girlfriend. He talked about proposing. You see, Ophelia, power changes people. This man became able to wreck a home, and you became able to kill him. Don't pretend everyone you killed today was a horrible person. And now, as a result of your actions, this man's friends will resort to violence. You can't kill them all, they're better trained than you seem to think."
Mull looked again at Jalob. "People with power believe they can make their own morals. That's exactly what you are."

"Despite the rudeness, she has a very valid point. Even though I took part in it, it was becuase they attacked me." Ornlu said, then he turned to Mull, "How owuld you know if it truely changed someone? I doubt you can get into their minds. They could simply be faking it and then will destroy everything. You can't know that."

Mull tutted at Ornlu, "How do you know other people are consious? It's a matter of observational faith. How do I know you won't murder us all in our sleep and that I shouldn't kill you right now?"
Then she flicked over to Ophelia, "So it's fine to kill people if you think they're bad people? There aren't many people like that." Mull gestured angrily at the family, "How do you know they aren't all weapons dealers? Acting on the face of things is a bad idea in any circumstances. One of these days, you're going to have to deal with the fact you murdered someone who led a more moral life than you ever will."

"That proves my point; you can't know what others are thinking. How would I know that you aren't betraying us somehow. How would I know if you were the elader of this? How would you know that I would, indeed, murder everything." Ornlu said rather angrily, as if it was a tender subject, "They may be dealers of weapons or criminals. But they may not be. I'm not all that smart, I know, but I have one important question...how do you know that you are looking at this the wrong way?" He smirked, "Observation of fate, right?"

Disturbing images from her past flashed through Ophelia's mind. She groaned and shook her head to try and subdue them. ...She's lying. She tried to tell herself. I would never kill someone innocent. Never! She looked at Mull angrily. "Moral life? Do you know what I have been through? More than you ever will. I have seen death many times. And I was a seven year old child. My innocence, on that day, left me forever. Since then I have tried to be as good a person as I can. What just happened was me being who I am." She put her head close to Mull's and looked her in the eye. "So don't you dare accuse me of being immoral!"

Mull punched Ophelia quite technically, like she was following a step-by-step guide. "The past is never an excuse for the present. Don't try to make it one." She walked out, faltering slightly at the doorstep, but not stopping. How did one bring justice other than establish your own goverment? What this war-band was doing was for the best. But still, that meteor...

Ophelia was trembling slightly and was sweating. She glanced down at the bloodied body of Jalob and felt sick. If what Mull said is true... Would I have killed an innocent person if Zith didn't get there first? Am I... She paused. Am I becoming dangerous?

"And I take it you felt a thrill from it didn't you?" Ophelia snapped bitterly as she dipped her head and went to the door. She turned her head and looked at Zith. "...I'm sorry. I'm so bitter lately. What's wrong with me?" She gave the family a small nod and wandered outside. It was beginning to calm down now. At least we'll be able to get some rest soon. She thought yawning.

"Please..." Zephyr said with quite a sharp voice. "Stop srgumenting about the murder of that guy. Why are you actually speaking to Ophelia about this and not to Zith? He killed him and at least he has his previous "carreer" as an excuse..." I can kill easily if I want to... but I would never kill someone from who I KNOW who is innocent... "It was our fault, yes. The bandits were, according to you, Mull, police and we thought they were bandits." He said, but he didn't believe a bit of what Mull said. "If all those bandits were "police", why would they attack the village?"

Mull smiled. I'm such a genius, she thought. It was pretty certain that a force such as this war-band could be used for good, but whomever was currently leading them was not the sort of person who would keep the wishes of the population in mind. So all she had to do was seize power over the group. Become its new leader. Simple. Of course, first, she'd have to find the leader. Mull peered down a well-swept high street, and saw once again the large, old building that just screamed town hall. That might be a good place to start. First to take care of a few things. If she was going to go on a suicide mission, she was sure as hell going to leave a clean house.

Ophelia walked along the now seemingly calm streets with Ornlu. She had heard Zephyr sticking up for her and appreciated it greatly. But she could not get what Mull said out of her head. Am I losing my morality? She thought troubled. I know Zith killed him, but if I had got there first I would've...

She felt sick and dizzy. "...I'm... going to find somewhere to rest. I need to think." At that she took of into the dark sky and flew over some buildings to the forest nearby. Her home.

"Do your best. I'm outta here." Zephyr needed a quiet place for himself, like the Cave of Silence. It was a place where it was totally quiet, where actually no one came frequently, except Zephyr. Like there was a kind of connection with him and the cave. "I'll see you guys later. Tomorrow, perhaps. But let's stay here or near this place for now. I bet we all need some rest." He said as he slowly disappeared into the shadows of the dark woods.

Ah, such a beautiful place Zephyr sighed as he walked silently through a small and mainly silent waterfall. A phenomenon that you did not see very often anymore: waterfalls without an end, just disappearing in a deep hole of whatever there was. He found a large, flat rock, lied down on it and looked at the bright moonlight that shined and sparkled through the transparent surface of the calm water. He looked at the stars, like he always does at night. He knew he would fall asleep soon, but for now he didn't.

Ophelia started to descend upon the forest she knew all too well. She found a small clearing near to the stream she visited earlier. She wasn't sure why, but this stream was her favourite place and she visited it often. Perhaps because this stream was the only thing in this world lately that showed signs of being calm and content...

She folded her wings and wandered to the flowing waters. She took a few gulps of the cool, crystal clear water, then sat down beside it. She sat for a long time, just staring contently at the silver water, which reflected the moon's beams. She took long, deep breaths to try and calm herself. The only sounds that could be heard was the flowing water and a wolf's howl, to which several others replied.

She could tell she had been to this exact spot before - to her right were a few rabbit bones. Seems like it's also my favourite eating spot too. She thought smiling, but then wondered if she'd ever return here. If she was going to find out who was behind the attacks and the meteor, she knew she, along with the others, had a risk of being killed themselves.

She stood up, looked at the stream again and then took off again into the night sky. I must help Ornlu with the clearing up or else he'll be onto me too. She thought giving a small smile.
