Chapter 4:
Singe the thief

After that the new bodyguards had got to there rooms to get some rest then was the princess taking a walk in her garden… of course with Cynder close by.
There was many bandits and gangs there wanted to kidnap the princess and then should the next in command of the castle pay a lot of money to get her back… but with Cynder near by the highness then was she save.
The princess had a beautiful garden with a lot of cherry blossom trees and it was a very beautiful site when the flowers flew off with the wind and the princess enjoy that site.

But this walk would be different form the other walks… after a short time did she found a girl lying on the ground.
She was about to walk to her before Cynder stopped her.
“It could be a trap… let me check it out first” whispered Cynder and Ailiera agreed.
Cynder then walked to the girl… she was a white dragoness with yellow horns and wings and she only wear a nightdress. She looked like to be in the same age as Cynder.
Cynder looked first over her body and didn’t find any trace of weapons on her and then tried to wake her up.
The white dragoness only groaned in a sleepy way.
“All clear” said Cynder and then did the princess walk up to the white dragoness.
“I wonder what happened…” said the princess.
“I more wonder how she got in here… there is a big wall and a lot of guards outside so she couldn’t get inside” said Cynder and didn’t really trust this dragoness.
“Let us take her inside and then ask her when she awakes” said the princess and Cynder then looked at her.
“Are you sure my lady?”
“Yes I am” nodded Ailiera and Cynder then took the white dragoness in her arms and then walked inside with her.

The white dragoness groaned and then woke up.
She looked around and found herself in a very pretty room and she lied in a very soft bed.
“Where am I?” she asked confused.
“In my castle” said a voice and the white dragoness then looked at the beautiful princess.
“Oh…” she said embarrassed.
“So… who are you?” asked Ailiera kindly.
“Um… my name is Singe and I… am a thief” she admitted embarrassed.
“I see… well we all have to survive right?” said Ailiera with a giggle.
“So… you will not put me in jail?” asked Singe surprise.
“Of course not… now why did you break into my garden?”
“Um… well… I need to get some money to buy food so I thought I could find something in here that I… could steal” she said and was again very embarrassed.
“I am glad that you tell me the truth… well if you want to then can you stay and live here” said Ailiera.
Singe looked with wide eyes at the princess.
“A-Are you serious?”
“Yes I am… just don’t steal anything” she giggled.
“Okay…” said Singe and smiled while she hold around a necklace with a big jewel inside it.
“What a pretty jewel” said Ailiera.
“I got it from my mother… it is the only thing I will never sell… it is the only thing I remember of her” said Singe and hold it close in her paws.
“I understand… well rest a bit while I get you some food” said Ailiera and left.
Cynder stood near the door and then followed the princess as she walked out.
“Why are you doing this my lady? What if she steals something and then flees?” she asked.
“She is a dragoness in need… besides I have always wanted a daughter and the rules of a royal is to first get a child when I get a husband”
“I understand my lady” said Cynder.

In NightShade’s castle did NightShade look into a big crystal ball while Kira practiced her moves and did better then he had expected.
“*bleep* it!” growled NightShade angry and Kira then stopped.
“What is there wrong sensei?”
“They got ‘her’ before I did…”
“Who?” asked Kira confused.
“The keeper of the sacred jewel” said NightShade annoyed.
“The sacred what?” asked Kira more confused.
“A jewel there makes a demon many times stronger… with that one would it be very easy to take over this world” said NightShade.
“Oh I understand now… but who as it?”
"Princess Ailiera” answered NightShade.
“Oh… I have heard that she have strong magic powers” said Kira.
“She has… she was the one there locked me in that bottle” said NightShade.
“Oh…” gasped Kira surprised.
“But she was lucky… she will not do it next time… because this time am I stronger and I still have all my demons to help me” he grinned evilly.
Kira looked as NightShade took a scroll and opened it.
“This one is a good one… hehehe I have a surprise for one of the bodyguards” grinned NightShade and then with a spell summoned the demon out of the demon scroll…

Chapter 5:
Attack on the village to the west

The two new guardians woke up the next day and had slept very well.
“Good morning Flame… and Spyro” giggled Ember and then gave Spyro a wink.
Spyro blushed a bit but Flame glared at his friend.
“Um good morning Ember” said Spyro a bit nervously.
Flame then stepped in front of Spyro and smiled at Ember.
“Good morning my beautiful lotus flower” said Flame but Ember just ignored him and then turned to Spyro again.
“The princess want to see you two” she said and then walked towards the princess’s room.
Spyro and Flame stood still there and Spyro was still blushing.
“Jerk…” commented Flame annoyed.
“Hey what have I done this time?” asked Spyro confused.
“You know what I mean… it is clear to see she likes you”
“Yeah I noticed that but how does that make me to a jerk? It isn’t my fault” said Spyro.
“Yeah…” sighed Flame deeply a bit hurt.
Spyro then put his paw on his friend’s shoulder.
“Hey buddy give it time… I promise that I will try to resist her the best I can… I don’t really like her anyway” said Spyro.
“Thanks buddy… and sorry that I called you a jerk before”
“It is alright Flame” said Spyro with a smile and they then walked towards the princess’s room.

Inside they saw the princess with Cynder and the white dragoness… she wear a very beautiful pink dress on and she blushed embarrassed.
“Why are you so kind towards me?” asked Singe confused.
“I told you yesterday” giggled Ailiera as she had told her the same that she told Cynder.
“T-Thanks princess”
“Call me Ailiera” giggled the princess and both Ember and Cynder looked at her surprised.
`She never let anyone call her by her name´ they both thought.
“Um… who is she?” asked Spyro a bit confused and Flame was lost in Singe’s beauty and didn’t listen at all.
“She is Singe and she is going to stay here…” giggled Ailiera.
But then suddenly, a dragon ran into the princess’s room.
“My lady the village to the west is under attack by some demons” said the dragon in panic.
“Demons!” said Ailiera surprised and Singe held her necklace close to her when she heard the word demons.
“I will go and check it out” said Cynder right away and was on her way out.
“No Cynder I need you here if they attack the castle… Spyro and Flame can go” said Ailiera.
“But…” said Cynder.
“Cynder you can go… I will stay here and protect the princess” said Flame and gave her and Spyro a nod and the two bodyguards ran as fast as they could out of the castle and towards the village to the west.
Cynder used her wind powers to speed up and Spyro was amazed of her speed and tried his best to keep up and he did very well.

They came to the village and the dragon was right it was under attack by some demons.
“Okay let’s split up” said Spyro and took his katana out.
Cynder did the same and then ran to into the village and Spyro ran another way.
Cynder saw a lot of demons and quickly slaughtered them all.
She then she heard some screams and right away she ran towards the sounds and then did she saw a dragon with the back towards her and he was about to pull out his katana from a young woman he just had killed and it was probably her that had screamed a moment ago, he wear a red jimbei on and he had some white horns.
“Turn around demon!” she ordered.
He then did what she said and her eyes widened.
“N-No… i-it can’t be…”

Chapter 6:
Cynder’s brother Fugeo

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy to see me… sister?” grinned the red dragon evilly.
He had sea blue eyes and a belly with the same color… he had three scars on his right eye and some white horns.
“I-It can’t be….. I saw you die…” stuttered Cynder and couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
“Yes you did but I have returned… so how it is going my sister?”
“Don’t change the topic… why are you doing this Fugeo!?” said Cynder and tears appeared in her eyes.
“Hehehe the brother you know before is gone… I am a demon now” he grinned.
Cynder could now see it… he had some black markings on his whole body that she have never seen before.
“Yeah lord NightShade did a very nice job to give my life back… the only payment was that I should serve him” he grinned.
“You… You’re not my bother!!!” yelled Cynder and then ran towards him with her katana high over her head.
Fugeo grinned and then blocked her attack with his katana that he held with one arm.
"Poor little sister… you haven’t got stronger in all those years… but at least can I see that you still use your skills as an assassin” he grinned and Cynder’s eyes widened as a lot of memories ran thought her head… but it was all bad memories.
“Shut up!!!” she yelled and then kept attacking him but he blocked every attack with his katana and also pulled out his second katana and blocked with that one too.
“Come on sis… we were the perfect team and we did earn a lot of money from it… I have trained you well” he grinned.
“I’m not an assassin anymore!”
“You’re right… now are you a bodyguard for one of those there we should kill… and it has made you weak and soft”
´”SHUT UP!!!” she yelled again and kept attacking but he blocked and dodged every attack she made.
“You have got slower… weaker… and it is pathetic!” grinned Fugeo and then made a cut into his sister's arm with his katana and she backed off.
“This is a world where the strongest survive… and you have gotten very weak so you don‘t deserve to live” he said and then ran towards her with his katana high and was about to do the final blow.
But Someone blocked his attacked and let out some bolts of lightning of the katana there hit his own.
Fugeo backed off and saw it was Spyro.
“Hum… well I was also done here anyway…” said Fugeo and then continued while he looked at Cynder with a wide grin on his face. “But don’t worry dear… you will see me again I promise… now use your amazing skills as a assassin instead of that samurai *bleep*… see you… sister” he said and Spyro’s eyes widened when he called Cynder for his sister but before he could say anything then did Fugeo vanish in a inferno of flames.

Spyro was about to ask Cynder what he meant with ‘sister’ but he saw she was about to cry and he never thought that she could cry with that cold heart she had so he changed the topic.
“All the demons are gone…” he said
“Spyro… I have to tell you something… but please keep it between us two okay?” she said.
“Okay Cynder” he promised and then Cynder told him about her past that she was a assassin with her older brother but on a mission had they failed and her brother got killed while they tried to escape and she have then left the business sense that day.
“Wow… and then you choosed to become a bodyguard instead?” asked Spyro.
“Yes… but my brother was right with something under our fight…” she said sadly.
“What was that?”
“That I have got weak…..”
Spyro then took his paw on her shoulder and she looked into his calm purple eyes.
“Cynder… you are not weak… you may just be out of training but that is something we can do about…” said Spyro with a smile to comfort her and it helped.
“You’re right Spyro… thanks…” she said and gave him a hug and he blushed a bit of the contact but he know that she needed comfort so he hugged her back.
“Lets go home… you can train with me if you want too” said Spyro.
“Yes please” she said and they then walked home and then told the princess about it all… also about Fugeo but not the details about Cynder’s past.

“So… did it work?” asked NightShade there sat in his throne and looked at the red dragon.
“Yes she got very surprised to see me… and I enjoyed it” grinned Fugeo evilly.
“But next time shall we try to go after the castle instead of just one of the villages” said NightShade with a grin.
“I do what you say my lord” bowed Fugeo.
“Good…” said NightShade and then laughed evilly.
