The Eye of the Storm

"Why would you listen to your "master"? Do you have to kill us in exchange for your life? Did your master give you life?"

That last question made things fit. Of course, what else. I killed this shadow guy, someone gave him his life back and told him that he had to obey orders in order to keep himself alive: in this case killing us. Maybe there is a connection between Ornlu and Zithdaitoh, maybe not. I need to find out more.

Screams, bloodshed, terror.

She shook her head to try and subdue them.

"I'm starting not to care who you work for." Ophelia said, getting agitated. "What have we ever done to you? Or your master Varnok?" Although that name is frighteningly familiar... She thought getting nervous. "I suggest you leave now." She growled, raising her dagger slightly.

"We'll handle that." Zephyr said. He was in for some more action. He put his sword away. "I'll go and scout again." He told Ophelia. He looked at Zithdaitoh again and said: "But remember that the fact that you join us, Zithdaitoh, does not mean that we aren't enemies of each other anymore." Then he was gone with a flash.

The shadow sphere Zithdaitoh held slowly shrank (spelling?) until it was no longer visible. Then he disappeared into the darkness.

"OK then. But-" Zephyr disappeared before she could finish. She turned to examine Zithdaitoh closely - she was certain she had seen him before, but couldn't figure out where. Most of her past was a blur...

As she looked at him, he disappeared. "Huh? Where'd he go?" She thought for a moment. "I hope we aren't being too hasty here... I don't trust that guy. There's just something about him and that master of his that sends a shiver down my spine..."

"Anyway, lets continue on to the village. We need to make sure they are OK." She began to walk forward and then stopped. She glanced behind her at Pridewing. "And don't think we are friends yet. I still have my suspicions about you..." At that she trotted ahead, yawning. Maybe at the village we can finally rest...

Zithdaitoh was still nearby, following them under the cover of darkness. He tended to be difficult to find at night.

As Ophelia walked, she somehow knew that the shadow dragon was still around. There was a feeling of doom and despair in the air.

"I know you are there." She said, seemingly at nothing, "If you are coming with us you might as well show us your face." I don't like this at all... Something inside me tells me that this guy is bad news...
