Spyro's Sexuality

No, we're not talking about -that-, we're talking about his sexuality.

Most of you guys are thinking 'Spyro is straight' since he has emotional attachment to Cynder, but this only applies in LoS. You should look on all the games, especially the classics.

I'll be honest, there was no way to find out heterosexual/straight without LoS. But let's remove that series out of the picture. Maybe he had a small thing for Elora, but it doesn't mean he does like her.

At this point, I'm thinking:

What if Spyro is gay?

I think the first thing that comes to your minds is that gay = male bottsecks. The definition of gay is 'Physical attraction to a person of same gender (male)'. Bottsecks would fall under sexual actions.

As far as I can tell, Spyro never had any lovers, but there sure were alot of male dragons. Maybe Spyro -does- like one of them.

Re: Spyro's Sexuality

I'm sure that they wouldn't make Spyro gay in a game primarily aimed at older children and young teenagers. If they did, they would have to aim it at a slightly more mature audience, as the current target audience would either not fully understand or treat it wrongly.

And I can't see this topic lasting very long... Mentioning *ahem* bottsecks wasn't a wise move.  <_<

Also when you have a game with gay people the homophobes will eat you alive. Also I agree with Saphira, mentioning bottsecks is both stupid as well as disrespectful.

Re: Spyro's Sexuality

I say gay becuase that would jsut screw with the pairings and we've never really had a gay hero, have we? I'm i nterested in that.

Re: Spyro's Sexuality

LOL @ rurik's answer. because it would screw with the pairings. i like that one. big_smile

i'm going to say Spyro's straight, but only because in Spyro 2, it seemed like he liked Elora. if not for that, it could be either way, because there's no defining characteristic that makes it obvious...  not that it really matters anyway. gays are still people like straights, and bisexuals and the people who don't like any gender! but whatever

p.s. i would edit your first post there, things like "that" aren't allowed to be mentioned on here, especially with the word written right out like that

Bad idea..That would make the anti-spyro fans even more stronger.

Although messing around with the pairing might be worth a laugh, nice one. It's like when Sarda The Wizard Who Did It from 8-Bit Theatre messed with causality to eat his food without having to make it first

Re: Spyro's Sexuality

looking back at the other games id say that Spyro is probably gay and proud of it

example:listen to his voice, childish or gay?

another example:Spyro took a vow with sparx to never have a girl friend (spyro probably likes sparx) o_O

If I don't say anything, no one can interrupt me!

The voice of spyro is also the voice of Spongebob-keep in mind.

The creators of the game would have made that vow a part of his dialogue mainly because it shows he was still a young dragon.

How many of us made a vow when we where little to hate girls? A lot, probably. They wanted to show him as a younger dragon, to show his inexperience, to make the player feel like he had more work to do, and makes you feel like spyro actually matured some more by the end of the game.
