"Yea..." Mitch muttered. "Well we have a lot of ground to cover, we need to get to the mountain base by at least when the the stars show. So if you ready we may start. Shall I lead the way as I have traveled these lands countless times?" he asked looking at him.

"Of course. We can be there very fast, even before nightfall, I know." Zephyr replied. "We will go slower than normally of course, but remember that the speed of light is surely incredibly fast. On my own, I can be there at exactly the same moment as I left. You guys are with me, so we have to go slower, letting it take like... probarbly half an hour before we reach the city. You are our guide then." he smiled friendly.

Mitch nodded "Logical answer.I'll try my best with the guiding but I can't promise anything" He returned the smile. "But there might be a small problem, if the bandit's are taking that gem ore whatever they will try to blockade and search any area around the mountains, forest to stop anyone.But I think we can take anyone one." he added to their list of risks.

Ophelia smiled at Mitch. "I'm Ophelia. And you?"

She sat in silence for a while and listened to Mitch and Zephyr's conversation. "OK then." She eventually said, standing up. "As Mitch said ((he has told her his name)) we will need to have reached the mountain's base by the time it gets dark. There we can rest for the night and set out again in the early morning." She glanced up at the sun and examined it's position. "We have about an hour and a half until sunset. We'll need to travel quickly."

She thought for a moment. "Yes there may be bandits, but you can't doubt we are all well prepared. More so than we were today. But along with that, don't forget we also have the risk of being completely wrong. They may not be even after the sapphire. Our journey may be a waste of time. But we all have the strong instinct that it's in danger, and we have to trust that."

She wandered back to the water bucket she drank from earlier and finished it off. Her belly rumbled. She had not eaten since that morning. Looks like I'll have to pick up a snack on the way. She thought licking her lips.

She turned back to Mitch and Zephyr. "Are we ready?"

Mull had been flying behind the, the war band? It was so difficult referring to the unknown. She'd been flying behind them for around half an hour, and now they chose to stop. By the looks of things they intended to attack a little hamlet a mile away. She'd been living around here long enough to know the people. I'll be *bleep* if I let them die, she thought grimly. There were too many of them to fight head on, and she was too far behind to swind around and ambush them. She shook her head sadly. Her best option was merely to warn the occupants and tell them to abandon their life-long homes. Great.

Mitch nodded. "We are well prepared but I think we might need to eat or something... Doesn't matter we will find something on the way." he said calmly. He wasn't hungry but could tell that Ophelia was hungry. A rangers hearing was a skill many wanted. "Walk or fly?" he asked "If we walk we would be less detected but slightly slower but if we fly, one: Zephyr would get there before me and Ophelia, and second: We could get spotted easily. So the most logical thing would be to walk there." He said while thinking hard.

"Yes I think we should walk too. Quickly of course. And that way we can catch some food too." She said as her stomach growled again. "Zephyr can fly ahead and alert us of any danger. He travels too quickly to be seen."

"Very True." Mitch argeed. He walked next to her "You know, I do have some food but if you prefer to catch it it's fine anyway, I do need to store some more." He said to her. He looked at her a gave her a smile. "let's go." He said walking slowly.

"No, thanks Mitch but I prefer hunting." She said trotting beside him. Hunger clawed at her belly. "I am going to go go and see if I can catch something as soon as we settle down. At this rate I could eat a whale!"

At that, the two dragon's left the ruined village behind and vanished into the forest.

"I won't stop ya then." Mitch said smiling lightly. He walked slightly ahead of her. they avoided the main road. Mitch had traveled these woods many times. He climbed on a rock and looked about the area he could see. He sniffed. He smelt a strong smell. Of what, he didn't know. "Humm..." he muttered. He jumped off the rock. "we need to move quicker." he said.

"You calling me a liar?" Mull put on a poker face that would put a skull to shame. The farm owner shifted uneasily, looking around, for some kind of support, apparently from a wall.
"No, of course not, but why would they attack us? We've got nothing that anyone would want."
"That doesn't seem to bother this lot."

"A dozen and a half maybe. Somewhere around there."
"We, we can fight!"
Mull gurgled gently in controlled-annoyance, "No. You've got five people, two of whom are children. None of you have any formal training, and there's not a scrap of metal among you. Your only option is to evacuate."
The man had spent his whole life at this little hamlet excluding occasional trips to the market. Mull could just about sympathize with his position, but she really didn't have time for stubborn-minded stupidity.
"You can help us!"

"I could, but I won't. In honesty, there are plenty of hamlets like this, and one less of them won't change the world. But whatever these people are up to is bigger. It matters a whole lot more than this place. You're little fish taking on the shark, nothing more. The best you can do now is to run. That's reality, tough as it may be."
She ignored his stutters as she left. She'd stayed here plenty of times, and it did hurt her to think it would be burnt down, but she could deal with it.

Ophelia sniffed the air too. She picked up the same scent. All too familiar to her. She swallowed. "Come on then. Zephyr will warn us for sure if something is wrong. Let's pick up the pace." She trotted ahead, her stomach in knots but, this time, it wasn't her hunger.

(Just gonna do a small post for myself to show I am in the RP.)

A silver dragon laid on his back near a crackling flame, aimlessly tossing a rock up and down, trying to calm himself down. He was told to assasinate someone, so he did. Needless to say, it was bloody and he had to clean himself off in in, to his displeasure, a river. Nessesary as it was, he was still feeling weak from it. Stopping to roll over onto his stomach, he curled up and tried to fall asleep. However, he did not becuase a voice spoke in his head.

Done already, Pridewing?

Sighing, the dragon responded, Yes master. Now, I'm tired, so let me sleep. He said tiredly.

I'm afraid I can't let you do that just yet. You have a new job. The voice said, causing him to groan.

What now!?

You are to Assasinate someone by the name of Ophelia. The word just came in that she was near you.

Ornlu refrained from commenting, but still responded rather bitterly, Oh for...fine, I'll do it. I won't like it, but I'll do it. Do you at least know who made the hit?

Sadly, no.

The presence left him, and Ornlu groaned once more, "It can wait until later..." He said, climbing up a tree after putting out the flame and falling asleep on a branch.

Mitch stopped by a tree ad picked a few weeds under it. He held them under his nose and sniffed. Then he placed them on the floor. "Ahh.." he muttered. He walked on in the forest. He was on alert. He knew something was happening. was it close? or far? He didn't know. "Be ready of anything Ophelia" he said to her. "Also something you may want to know, something eat is ahead." he said.

Zephyr smelled the strange scent as well. He looked around. "Curses. They're back. And I thought I eliminated every singe bit of them." He went to the rest. "We can't go further into the forest!" He told. "The forestkillers are back, that's why this is so smelly." Either fight them, or flee."

Forestkillers are dangerous, plant-like monsters. They eat dragons alive, and their flowers have a strange scent. Their roots can easily tie someone to the ground, hurting you with their sharp thorns. They are weak to fire, but good reflexes are needed to avoid their roots. These plants are parasites: they absorb energy from other trees, letting them die slowly.
