Re: Pokemon teams

The pokemon league is weaker than diamond and pearl on the 1st playthrough it. Afterwards they have much higher levels when you go to battle them again. Tips for shinies use the pokemon radar to get a chain of 40 which guarantees an easy shiny patch once you reach 40 as long as you don't run out of repels. Its cool making a team full of shinies. I think my team in platinum were all in the high 60's by the time i got to pokemon league can't remember which 1's i used though.

Re: Pokemon teams

OMG I was so annoyed today. On Firered, I was speed running through the Safari Zone and came across a shiny Doduo! It was green!   yikes So I threw balls like mad but the little *curses* got away! I'll NEVER come across another shiny again I bet!  mad

I hate it when that happens.
There's special a method to catch shinys in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum though.

Anyway, my current team in Platinum are; Lucario, Infernape, Garchomp, Weavile, Mew, and Floatzel.

That's a cool team. I have Lucario and Garchomp in my Pearl team. I have a Weavile and Floatzel too, but they are not in my main team.

How do you get Mew?

Re: Pokemon teams

Action Replay or some other form of cheating, I think. Unless you had one from one of the events a long time ago.

Re: Pokemon teams

I can't blame you for that; the old ones are by far the best, but I still play Platinum occasionally.

I'm waiting for Heart Gold and Soul Silver (remakes of Gold and Silver on the DS) to be released in the US - they just came out in Japan a couple days ago and should be here in Spring 2010.

Anyways, my current team consists of Vaporeon, Breloom, Lucario, Flygon, Espeon, and Blissey, but I barely ever play because I don't have anyone to battle now.  This isn't a Pokemon forum so I doubt anyone will be interested in their movesets, stats, natures, and items. tongue

Edit: Typo

Oh I see. I don't really like cheating. Mewtwo is good enough for me. He's a bad@$$. :-P

Yeah me too. I haven't played my Silver or Crystal games for years (they broke...  sad ). Which version is everyone getting? I'll get Soul Silver I think because Lugia's awesome. And you can get Ho-Oh later in the game anyway.

Re: Pokemon teams

SoulSilver because Lugia is better than Ho-Oh, in my opinion anyways.

Re: Pokemon teams

And in SS you can get Groudon. Actually there is a page on Serebii than has all the legendaries. *goes to find it*

http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsil … ends.shtml

Most of them are available in both games at a certain point.

I might get both actually...

Re: Pokemon teams

Since it's based on Gold and Silver I might actually consider picking both of them up. If I ever feel like spending more money which I don't at the moment tongue

Re: Pokemon teams

Yeah give them a try, RDX. I hear it's got loads of new features, and, later in the game, you can get the Kanto and Hoenn starters, without cheats or events!  big_smile Cool! I'm gonna have a killer team. At the moment it's something like this:

Meganium
Raichu/Ampharos/Jolteon
Red Gyarados/Quagsire/Lapras
Houndoom/Ninetails/Arcanine
Lugia

...And something else, I forgot.  :-P

And also a Kanto/Hoenn starter may join the team later on.

Re: Pokemon teams

Oh well , I remember finally that I've given all my Diamond team to a friend and let everybody at home (so my friends and my brother) take the pokemons they want in my version , haha , I like to give presents when I can !
...so the (world)famous team I owned to beat the league , I no longer own them (they was for a friend that I don't see anymore) , I have to own new ones to make a new team AGAIN , that's always funny to make a random team with the firsts wild pokemons who come in front of you , that's this way I've catched the whole majority of my old team after all smile

I don't play this generation at all , there's too many things who fail to captivate me  , I just play Crystal , maybe mainly for the awesome old music (even with 8 bits or so , 56 true colors for the win , synthetic music , and no online (...EXEPT IN JAPAN !!! WTF ?!? First pokemon online on a portable console , with a cell phone (10 minutes , but still)...so epic) , it stills one of the most epic games ever for me) ,  I don't have lost anything at all , really , and if you want some , don't hesitate , I have some good ones...oh well , "good" isn't the best suited word , mlaybe "numerous" is better suited...but you have the choice at least.
