Transfering Schools
I've been really, loving going back to school so far and I really love the classes and everything, But I really miss an old friend and she is going to another school, So I might see about transfering see what programs, the school my friend is going to offers ect, Just wondering has anyone here ever had to transfer to a new school what was it like? And do you like that new school now?
RIP Test AKA Andrew Martin.

Re: Transfering Schools
Yeah me too. I've never changed schools halfway through, but a close friend did leave. She was my best friend from Year 7 to 9. She went to another school as her parents didn't think this one was good enough. <_< I don't see how.
But I do bump into her occasionally. I gave her my e mail address through a friend of hers and mine, yet she hasn't contacted me yet. I'm starting to think she never got it...
And going to college, I've lost close contact with LOTS of my old friends. I do go back to my old school for RE, and I see them occasionally.
But anyway, just make sure you stay in touch with your friend and, if she isn't too far away, sometimes arrange to meet up with her. It'll be OK. ![]()

Re: Transfering Schools
I've changed schools 5 times..It only sucked due to the fact that I would have to leave the friends I had made to go make new ones plus I also had to learn new languages due to the fact that I would go to different countries and stuff..But otherwise it was nice and everything.

Re: Transfering Schools
Yeah I switched schools 4 times or so....I have to say that it sucked for awhile, but now because of that I do have friends in several different places. In the end everyone will be in that position anyways when they go to college so having that experience can be kind of a good thing, so long as you stay who you are it shouldn't be a problem to make new friends ![]()

Re: Transfering Schools
It was a big change when I switched from private school to public school. Social interactions, the way things are done and managed...it was all new for me when I switched. That was back in grade 8.

Re: Transfering Schools
Having parents in the military, I was forced to move 3 times and go to different schools. Most of my friends moved away after high school to other states so it felt like I had moved again when I went to college.

Re: Transfering Schools
Well After I finished my 9th grade year in a school I loved.
Some ''bad'' friend joined in and my mother wanted me out.. -__-'
-sigh-
What's bull is that I did one week in my normal school before getting the transfer
papers to the other school... On a Tuesday
I didn't even get a change to say goodbye to my friends... T_T i miss them
.. like alot ;~;
So the school I did 10th grade was..''OK" a lot of hypocrites and racists girls mainly.
But eh,... the funny thing is that near the end of the school year, they caught my
math teacher with his pants down... you can guess the rest.
I LOL'ed so much after that
it was like "" OMFG! THat's My teacher in the TV""
After that I just home-schooled...

Re: Transfering Schools
I changed schools once and that was during my freshman year right in the middle of the school year. Had to go to summer school to catch up on english since the school I switched from had a different schedule than the one I graduated from.

You go to college when you're only 16?

Re: Transfering Schools
Yeah I have never had to change school in my life.... I live in Zanesville, Ohio (A small city with an interstate runnig though it so yes we do have the drug problems here... unfourtunately... luckily we live right at the edge and pretty much are in the country..)
Anyhow I got to a smaller school outside of Zanesville (Philo High School). Everybody in your grade knows you and you'll walk down the hall and see another person in your grade and you could just stop and talk to them if you wanted and there wouldn't be anything weird about it.... I love it.... of course you have the clic'es and stuff but they aren't really clean cut and they are mostly ignored with the exception of lunch.... I don't know if I'd want to transfer to a different school unless it was some what like that....
Red: Going to college at 16? wow... lol.... but what took her so long anyhow? 5 years of college? little long for me thank you... lol
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

My preference is Home Schooling and Private schooling. I think it is much
better than public school. Even though you end up having to deal with
preppy girls and dudes that act gay. But other than that, it's fine.

Also, if you are in either the 8th grade or 12th grade, don't switch schools.
You don't want to spend your last year not knowing anybody. Heheh.
