Sparx fan game

Hello...

I'm making a Sparx fan game in Game Maker and have so far made a demo with 1 level.
I would like to know what people think about it, and maybe come with ideas to it.
I need ideas for level designs and names, enemy bugs/creatures, things to have in the levels, like keys, doors... and what the main collectible is, like the orbs in Spyro 2 and eggs in Spyro 3.

The game is very similar to the Sparx levels in YotD.

Controls are:
Move around: Arrow keys
Shoot: S
Fly Faster: A
Strafe: D
Shoot Powerup Projectiles: W

For collectables why not dragon fly larva? They come out of cocoons or soemthing, i dunno, so collect cocoons? XD just an idea

Hey , your game really looks like Sparx worlds in Season of Ice , that's impressive smile

awesome job! i remember playing with Game Maker... making sprites is so hard, especially with animating [like with Sparx], and shading [like on the green bug].

and you got the health bars right. i could never do that.. they just wouldn't appear, or they would appear on the ground somewhere... etc.

Wow. That's a very nice game you made. I played the game a bit, and it feels like the good ol' Spyro, game number 3. Ironically, the demo feels like it came from one of the Spyro GBA games I played recently; it was fun otherwise. Say, did you actually made the graphics yourself? If the game feels too bloated, you might want to try using PNG Monster. Convert your graphics into .png form, use this program, and your files will be smaller, but it will be good for reducing the size, and benefit faster loading times. All the details are in this link:

I should advise you that you may want to backup your graphics work incase. Just incase. If you want some help with the game, maybe you can ask one of us. Just saying. smile

So... do you have the sounds that were used for the Sparx levels in YotD?

Anyway... I have uploaded a new version of the game. The boss has the length it is supposed to have, and the yellow key is now held by a thief bug.
