Harry Potter!

The new book is almost here! I'm so excited; only six more days! Is anyone else going to read it?

EDIT: Discussion only, please. No haters. (Unless you have something intelligent to say.)

Re: Harry Potter!

I am one of those people who read all the books twice over in preparation, reserve their book, stay up till midnight at a party, then stay up 2 more hours reading it, then replay it as a movie in my head for the next half hour.  wink

Don't read the next part if you haven't finished the 6th book.

There was something fishy about the way Dumbledore died.Blasted over the ramparts?  I thought people just crumpled to the ground.  And plus, we know Dumbledore wasn't afraid of death...Why was he begging Snape?
Speaking of Snape, what's with that guy?Good/Evil?
WILL HARRY DIE???

Re: Harry Potter!

Im guessing that Dumbledore was pleaing with Snape  for the simple resinon of... well who want's to be killed by spomeone they trusted?

And the blasting thing, well I have no anser for that besides, don't most spells with emoution behind them bllast people back in the series?

Lastly, I'm glad some people hate the book, it's like the people who hate Starwars or Startrack, they have no true basis for hating the book, it personalty and that's what makes the world go round [and that's also what makes people kill too  hmm ]

Re: Harry Potter!

I read all the books, and seen the movies so far. Harry Potter is good. I'll have to read the book after Bloo though, cause she'll hog it.

Re: Harry Potter!

Nah, I'll be done with it within the first day. He'll just have to wait an extra day.

All you haters: How many of you have actually read the books? The movies don't count; they suck.

My theories:

Hagrid dies, based on a theory from one of my friend that I won't write out here.

Snape is not good or evil. He simply works for whatever side can help him most. In other words, he is a coward. Did anyone else notice how angry he was when Harry called him a coward?

Harry is NOT a Horcrux. I hate it when people put out that theory.

RAB is Regulus Black, and the locket is the one that they found at 12 Grimmuald Place in OotP.

Dumbledore really is dead. They already had his funeral....

Re: Harry Potter!

What do you expect? It would onl be realistic that he is emotional about everything, considering all that's happened in his life. And I don't think he cuts himself either. roll

Re: Harry Potter!

Great wizards in literature have a habit of coming back from the dead.. look at Gamdalf in the LOTR series.. I Think Dumbledore will come back in the 7th book. Adava Kedava requires a lot of power, so its clear Snape is a powerful wizzard..

Re: Harry Potter!

I still think there was something weird about the way he died. <_<
Anyone who wants to know, I can probably read HPATDH in about 2-2+1/2 hours.  big_smile
Maybe Dumbledore can help Harry from a portrait of himself...

Re: Harry Potter!

He wasnt pleading for his own life.
Methinks he was pleading for snape not to kill harry.
i dont think snape is bad, in the end i think he will help harry kill voldemort.

Re: Harry Potter!

I just finished reading it today. Nightwing, I'd have to agree with you that it was awesome. You'd think it would be boring, if the whole book was about hunting down and destroying Horcruxes, but JKR made it eventful enough that I actually liked Deathly Hallows the best in the series.

Re: Harry Potter!

I read the whole book in one day. I am not an avid fan, yet I have read each book once. This book does not appear to have the same style as the previous books. This book, the best I can say it, is more of an 'action' book, if such a term is appropriate, in comparison to its predecessors. Nonetheless, I believe it was a fitting end to the series.
