Lessons you've learned the hard way
List some lesson that you've learned the hard way.
For example- Never drink a soda on an empty stomach
Ex.2- Never type in random words on Google o_O , ect.
Well, I'm sure all of you guys have alot more than I do. :-P

Don't overreact or jump to hasty conclusions. I have many examples from my life of when I've done one or both and come off worse for it, both online and IRL.

Re: Lessons you've learned the hard way
Save work every 30 minutes or so, so you don't lose 12 hours of work on a mod when someone causes a power surge by turning on the microwave and the AC at the same time...

Amen! [Besides the part about AC and microwaves. But the saving part, yes.]
I also learned to back up my mod work to a separate folder just in case I
save a file to the wrong file and lose my work.

Re: Lessons you've learned the hard way
think before you post :-[
I made a post on the "any fanfiction writers?" thread about how I was writing a novel, and as a result of what was then an inflated ego, I sounded like a jerk and was very insulting to fanfiction, sounding like I thought I was better than everyone else and was out to put them down. I didn't even want to insult fanfiction, just announce that I had gone the next step. I would erase that post if I could, but I've had to settle for posting a public apology to anyone I offended on the same thread.
think before you post. :'(

Read reviews before you buy a 400 dollar Xbox that wound up breaking the first five minutes of playing...
Think about what you're doing before you try to make a homemade flamethrower that lit your garage on fire.
Play less video games before you get hopelessly obsessed and join a forum.
Plus, I don't think I thought before I posted. u.u

Re: Lessons you've learned the hard way
Don't save all of your coursework onto just one memory-stick, make sure you back it up onto another one as well as your computer at home... I nearly lost all of my A-level coursework for two subjects after mine went through the washing machine (though this actually was the second time, however this time it went through the dryer as well...), I only got it back because a computer whizz managed to soulder it and get it to work long enough to get the items off of it.... Never been so relieved in my life! XD

He could have thrown a snowball and it had a stone in it? I've seen that happen before...
