Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
What I mean is, have you experienced anything unusual like sudden flashes of light or seizures that might have scared you. I will start. I had a seizure at a carnival, in 2007, the seizure was so bad that I didn't even know who I was. Which is why I can't be exposed to rapid flashes of light for very long. I take seizure medicine, but, unfortunately, that means I can't be in the sun for more that an hour, because of the conditions that I have, or I will have a seizure. Ok, that's scary. I never knew what a seizure was, honestly, but now I know. I doesn't sound good.

Is it epilespy ?? I don't think I have experienced any seizure...or I don't remember had one.
I can't do anything for you , but now I know why you wouldn't want to look the video with seizure warning at the beginning...

This topic is about people with conditions like I have. If you have anything, you can talk about it if you want.

I have Scoliosis. It hurts when I walk, or even sometimes I limp. What hurts more is that people stare at my back like it's croked, but I had surgery for it. So, I feel much better.

I have asthma.
now, most people are like, "oh, I know a guy with asthma, and it just means you cough a little when you exersize." NO, it's not that simple. I have literally been in the emergency room, going into cardiac arrest because I couldn't get enough oxygen. so yes, asthma IS a valid limitation.

Yikes,
I am really sorry for all of you. :'( It doesn't seem fair that
you all have those limitations and alot of people don't.
My brother is autistic, which most people think would be hard to live with, but I actually think it's neat having a brother who thinks differently than
average people. You should treat people who have limitations
just as you would want someone else to treat you.

There are different levels of asthma, I have a friend who has some asthma, but only coughs a little when they excersize...

Re: Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
I get angered easily, if some one makes fun of me in any way i will get really angry and probably never forgive them..................
That doesn't sound like a limitation, it sounds like you need help.
Find out what's bothering you, let it go, and talk it out.
It's better to talk it out than to keep it in. Try to control yourself
the next time you feel like you're gonna blow.
Just ignore the person who made fun of you.
Who're they to judge? That's their opinion.
You know who you are. Don't forget it.
If it gets out of hand, tell them to lay off. If they don't, don't worry about it. They'll get tired of it sooner or later.
You should also learn to forgive people. They're probabally
making fun of you because they feel self-conscious of themselves.
Or they might just be jerks. <_< Either way, forgive them.
Everyone has their own story. They might have been raised with
terrible parents, or worse. They may be hurt, and they make fun of you to make them feel better about themselves.
Try talking to them about it. Who knows? Maybye you'll end up with a new friend.

...Wow , it's a post fully of sense , I agree with most of it
...But I'm embarassed because I don't know what to add. You just say anything ![]()
I remember one limitation for me when I read your post...I can't hit back when someone attacks me , never :-|
it's due to my first school years...since harassment begin that early.
When someone was hitting me for no real reason , I was never responding to them since I was afraid of what they can do if they were angry after my hit...
I was just to intimidated to fight back , and they took advantage of that , since I was and I'm so silent...thanks to them , yes :-[
One time I defended myself , because I can't hold on forever this situation and people say to me to fight back , but I almost send the offender into the hospital...
and since this I'm afraid of hurting people , I know that people can do the same to me...and I doesn't want to hurt him so bad , this maybe stupid but poor guy.
Now I do everything to avoid fighting , because even if maybe I'm strong enough to fight back , I never just CAN , I just push the offender away to stop the fight...(don't laugh too much please)
In high school , that's a big limitation to be respected , but I train myself alone to endure this , so I can hold on some fights I can't avoid , and maybe do some self-defense display one day...
No , I just can't. That's why it's such a 'limitation' thing , but there are someones who have way worse limitations than me , even some people I know (or knew , I knew someone who died because of his limitations...he was autistic besides his ill) have worse limitations , so I don't complain too much about me , it could be so worse :-|
Neotyguy40 is right Btw , I know asthma peoples and they are never affected the same level , I know a guy who have to limit his physicals activity because of that , and inhale a spray thing to not endure asthma crisis , and another who just cough sometimes... ![]()

Well psychologists say there are 2 major reasons why someone can get angry easily... But they sound very offensive. If you want me to tell them, I will, but I am just giving a heads-up warning.

Re: Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
agreed.
Anger is something natural, and it's okay to let your anger out, just not in ways that damage those around you. the one thing you don't want to do is just bottle it up. and I personally have experience with that.
why should you not bottle it up? because when you do, it spreads like a weed and slowly turns to something worse: hate.
hate is overused as a word. "I hate that color," "I hate the way she talks to me," and very frequently, "I hate you!"
that is not hate, that is dislike.
don't think that I think this is cool. Hate... TRUE hate... I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. when you have hate, you can do horrible things, because if it goes long enough, you hate. I don't mean you hate something; it's a lot more complicated. you hate everything, but you hate nothing. you hate what you love, you hate the things important to you, yet you don't hate them.
a better way to describe it is; you don't hate something, or everything, or nothing; you just hate.
trust me, that is not a road you want to travel. I never did anything physical because of my hate (except for some cut-up furniture), but I still have scars on my very soul from that time.
avoid hate at all costs. please. for your own sake.

Re: Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
Well, I have four major things...
1. I have substancial nerve damage in my right arm that limits my movements for it. I had nerve surgery for it so it isn't as bad as it was a few years back, but I still can't hold a pencil or even a video game controller for too long without pain.
2. Anger issues. I'm critical and tend to snap at people and get angered very easily. People on this forum have already seen that.
3. Aspergurs syndrome. Long story short, it is a form of autism that causes people to frown down on me and then I kick them between the legs. I see it as a gift but people see it as a disease.
4. Dyslexia. I think this speaks for itself.

Harsh, blunt, and even evil on many occasions. What's not to like about me?

Re: Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
I have a disease where I don't seem to be able to pump my blood around my body properly and it has changed my outlook on life. I can't run properly and I'm not exersiced enough so people cool me slow and fat, when they don't understand. It limits alot of the things I used to be able to do, now I have trouble with everything because it sort of deppresing. But it's just life, and i try to continue it. Even if, life has me on a knife edge. It hasn't done much to me lately and if I'm sincere in my ways maybe I may be cured of it....
Yet, I can be so outspoken about it!
Every Great Light has its Great Shadow...I am no exception...
Ignore me will you...
heh, heh when you turn your back your life will be over...

I have autism, although it's only a minor case. I think I might also have asthma because my lungs started to contract when I stepped into a dusty room full of stagnant air. The windows were never opened, dust was everywhere, it was hot and I'm claustrophobic. I couldn't breathe in there.

Re: Do you have any conditions that limit the things you do?
I have slight depression and ADD. I don't think of them as "limiting" on anything I do since I've had them all my life and can't imagine how my life would be without them. It's just part of who I am.
