I havn't played this in a while, But I like the humour, it suits the Spyro series...some of it anyway.
Generally i didn't like this game for other reasons.

Re: A heroes Tail.....too cartoonish.

Do you mean cartoonish by the things the characters say, or the designs of the characters?

The humor was pretty lame in my opinion, but I liked the game. (Not as much as the first three, but it was fun.) The character's designs were fine; I think they did an okay job with that.

Re: A heroes Tail.....too cartoonish.

There is nothing wrong with it looking cartoony, i atleast liked it in some way. The real problem is that the controls are weird: spyro feels like hes  floating in the air, that makes the game feel odd and also jumping precisely can be hard sometimes (applies to other characters as well, of course). I didnt particulary laugh my @ss off at the humour , but it suits the game well.

^Like it or not, most people above the age of 13 hate Cena.

No it isn't too cartoonish. It was the perfect Spyro game in my opinion. Some people are so picky..

Re: A heroes Tail.....too cartoonish.

I think the game was meant to be cartoonish, It added to the humor of the game. And It wasn't like it was meant to be a serious game, It was meant to be a fun game for all ages. If it was less Cartoony, the players would asume that Insomanic was aiming for a higher age group e.g 14-25, But they got the feel of the game through well, considering the follow ups.

Re: A heroes Tail.....too cartoonish.

I didn't care that it was cartoonish, but I like the original Spyro look and the LoS look more. The game had really good graphics, so I really didn't pay attention to the cartoon-ish-ness.
