Where I live, you have to get a license in order to buy and use fireworks.

That's mean! 

Safety issues obviously. It applies to the whole of Canada.

Sheesh, whats the big deal about this day? I swear, Americans are the most egotistical people on this planet. It's great you love your country. But why make a holiday outta it? You don't see us Scots bragging about how awesome our country is.

It's called Independence Day, genius.  In fact, quite a few countries have one.  Those that don't have one (including Scotland) have a National Day.

I guess every country on that list is full of egotistical citizens for celebrating gaining independence as a country?  YOU ARE LOGICAL, TRULY.

I mean, hell, if you want to say that it's a country that "never belonged" to us because Native Americans were here first, you pretty much admit that humanity, or even multicellular organisms in general stole the entire planet from the simple unicellular organisms that inhabited the planet from the start.
