YouTube is officially changing all the channels to the new beta and we have no choice!!!! If ur opposed to the new channels watch this video and stay off of Youtube all day July 14!!!

I don't like the new channels, but this crap isn't really necessary. I see this stuff all over YouTube and I'm so sick of it.
They aren't going to do anything.
Who knows, maybe they're just automatically setting everyone to it and you can change back. They never said that they weren't going to keep the old one.
And boohoo, YouTube doesn't care if a bunch of users don't come on. New members join every minute. A lot of people like the new channels. YouTube is getting money, and that's all they care about. You'll come back the next day and it'll be there. There's no point in trying.

Well excuse ME for trying to make my own opinion heard! Others actually want a choice! They don't want everything changed without their voice, without their opinions! :-P I respect your opinion about you liking the new channels but other don't like the new channels and they want a say in it! People who want them should have them but people who don't should have a choice on whether or not they get them!

i'm in on this blackout thing. it seems unnecessary, and it probably is, but i'll try about anything now. i'm tired of Google doing all this stuff to YouTube and not caring about what we think about it.

we should have SOME say, since OUR decision to go on the site gives them the money (if no one went on the site, they wouldn't get money), and WE have to deal with their decisions.

YouTube's general popularity is gradually decreasing, and it will continue if they keep doing this. "lots" of people don't like these new channels. a FEW like them. and most of those few, are trolls just trying to bug people.

It's not going to do anything. YouTube is only concerned with pleasing the people supplying them with ca$h. And if that means dumbing down every single user's profile so that their investors' profiles can appear more original... so be it.

I couldn't care less. I have video game music to listen to, and I'm not going to stop for one day just because YouTube wants to change the channel layout. I honestly don't have a problem with the new layout, either. Just be happy you can use their services at all, and without paying (well, you're paying them indirectly, but not out of your own pocket).

I am happy that I can use YouTube.
I just honestly think we should have a choice. Thats why i set this topic up. I wanted people to know about this. You like the channels thats fine. But all of those people who dont should have a choice on whether or not they get them.

YouTube doesn't care if people don't come on for a day.

They never said that it wouldn't be optional; they're just setting everyone to it. Maybe they will let people switch back. You don't know for sure.

Aicebo has a point. maybe it will still be optional. we can hope. still, i'm participating in this blackout in the off-chance it won't be optional. as said before, it probably won't do much, just like the last blackout (December 18?) but i'll try anything at this point.

no aicebo we cant change them back sadly i started a BU account and it was in the new layout and when i clicked revert it didn't do anything

They only said that they're switching everyone over. That doesn't mean it's permanent. It means that they want everyone to try out the channels. Big deal.
